HTC Desire 310 Plus Mobile Price in India
HTC Desire series is a series of pocket-friendly, touch screen based Android smartphones launched by HTC. One of its new entry level additions to the market, HTC Desire 310 plus was launched by HTC in 2014. It has been a long time, since we have seen a budget smartphone from the Taiwanese manufacturer. No doubt, the smartphone has a number of nice features that make it an HTC product.
Features and Specifications
The Desire 310 plus is a Dual SIM handset with a screen size of 4.5 inches, made up with a TFT Capacitive touchscreen offering 16M colors along with multi-touch. OS used in the device is Android OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is a power packed OS. Processor powering the phone is a 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 Quad Core processor. The RAM in the phone is just, 512 MB and the internal memory of the phone is 4 GB which can be further expanded to 32 GB to better suit the needs. The primary camera is a 5 MP shooter with many additional features like HDR, Panorama, Burst Shot and Geo-tagging. There is also a VGA secondary camera on-board the device. The battery life giving juice here is 2000 mAh while all connectivity features like Micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth v4.0 with apt-x, Wi-Fi and hotspot are present.
Design and Quality
With all OEMs vying to make their smartphones slimmer as they go, HTC decided to go with a thicker chassis this time. The phone may sound a bit thicker at 11.3 mm and weighing 140g, but in actuality people loving a solid, sturdy grip will find the smartphone nice and fitting naturally in the hands. It is available in three colors- Black, White and Red. The power and volume controls are present at the right side while the front-firing speakers are present at the top which gives some great sound output. The physical buttons have been replaced for on-screen buttons in the smartphone.
OS and Tech
The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with a customized HTC Sense UI. The UI of the smartphone is different from the normal Sense and actually is a hybrid between the Sense and the Open Android Project. The powerful quad core processor makes multitasking and performing basic smartphone tasks, a breeze. The OS also has many innovative tweaks like BlinkFeed and Video Highlights app.
Camera and Multimedia
The phone has a 5MP shooter with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. To be frank, the camera is a big under performer in the phone-while having features like Geo-tagging, face detection, HDR and panorama, it appears unfocused and the snaps taken by the phone are un-detailed. The Camera also supports 1080p recording which does not account too much, but daylight captures are okay on the device. There is also a secondary VGA camera for video calling.
Battery and Memory
The battery life of the phone is particularly good and lasts a day even when moderately stressed. The 2000 mAh battery present gives a talk time of 11 hours and a standby time of 852 hours which is pretty good. 512 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal memory present allows a fair deal of apps and games to run on the phone without any issues and lags. For people looking for more storage, the Desire 310 plus has 32 GB of expandable storage.
Pros and Cons:
For pros:
• Good Battery life
• Innovative OS
• Dual SIM
For Cons:
• Mediocre Screen
• Fixed Focus Camera
• Heating issues
Verdict:
The device is going to face serious challenges from other smartphones like Micromax Yu Yureka and Asus ZenFone 5 which give top of the line specs at almost similar pricing. HTC’s 310 plus has some quality features but they get overshadowed by the pricing of the phone making it a no go.
