Huawei Honor 3C Play

Huawei Honor 3C Play Mobile Price in India
Huawei had been famous for budget sensitive phone and this is another similar release from Huawei. Honor 3C Play is actually the lower end version of Honor 3C and has been called it as Play edition of the same rather than adding Lite to its name indicating the lower end version and this has been considered as a very interesting move from Huawei. Though the word “Play” attracts users’ attention being something new but it is actually misleading at the same time. People may think it is called Play due to having some level of customization mainly done in the chipset to make it work more efficiently in terms of processor or better screen resolution to make it more gaming oriented but this is not the case.
Features and Specifications
This handset has 1.3GHz Dual-core processor at its core along with 1GB RAM. The internal storage is 16GB which is easily expanded further to raise memory up to 32GB. This is a Dual SIM phone supporting micro SIMs. The rear camera is of 8MP with LED flash and the front camera is 2MP used for video calls and fallacies. The screen is large of 5inch using IPS technology. The OS it runs is Android v4.2.2 Jelly Beans. The battery life is 2000mAh and the connectivity options are GSM, Wi-Fi, microUSB, GPS and Bluetooth.
Design and Quality
The build quality of the device is very good and is one of the winning points of Huawei over all its competitors. The back of the handset has perfect mate finish giving a solid hold of the device. The back carries rear camera with LED, the Huawei logo and a speaker at the lower back. The front of the device is all glass. Above the screen is the front facing camera with front speaker while the bottom of the screen carries the three navigation keys. There is metallic lining all across the phone and the edges are nicely curved. The 3.5mm headset jack is at the top of the phone while there is a microUSB port at the bottom for recharging. The power button and volume rocker reside towards the right side of the phone while the left hand side carries nothing.
OS and Tech
The OS used here is Android v4.2.2 Jelly Beans which is too old and there has been yet no indication from Huawei if an update to OS in shape of KitKat is going to be released or not. Jelly Beans work smooth but at times there is performance lags which may irritate users. The processor is equally not much powerful enough.
Camera and Multimedia
The back camera is 8MP while the front one is 2MP. The camera department in this handset is not very stunning though it is not completely bad as well. The LED flash support the performance of back camera but still the images taken in dark are not of good quality being very grainy. Even the daytime images lack complete details. The same happens with the videos recorded by this camera. The videos overall are of good quality but they are too shaky. The front camera is of rudimentary type and works just ok for short video calls and selfies. The camera is not extraordinary here.
Battery and Memory
The battery here is 2000mAh which is a good addition from Huawei. This much works very nice to tackle every hardware and software of the device. It can last for whole day if used in a mix of heavy to medium. The battery is no doubt good in Honor 3C Play. The RAM is limited but suits the type of specifications this device carries and the internal storage is also not bad. Rather 16GB of internal memory is very good with an extension up to 32GB using the microSD card. So the memory is awesome and user will not find any issue with the memory here.

Verdict
This is a heavy handset weighing 156g. Though the phone carries very common mid-range hardware specifications but there are some attributes which make it more attractive than expensive phone like Samsung Galaxy Core 2. Many of the specifications of both the devices are same but Samsung carries a trusted brand name so then it also charges for its name. Huawei being a new name but is competing with any good brand name giving them tough competition. Huawei Honor 3C play is better in few departments from Samsung Galaxy Core 2 like the former has 8MP back camera and later has 5MP, the former has 1.3GHz processor and the later has 1.2GHz, former has 5-inch screen and later has 4.5-inch though the OS of later is latest KitKat while in former it is old Jelly Beans. But considering the price, Honor 3C Play is very budget sensitive and is not a bad choice for many.
