Huawei Ascend G620S
Huawei Ascend G620S Mobile Price in India
The speed with which Huawei is releasing new smartphone in market shows that it is very interested to conquer the smartphone market. Ascend G620s is one new invention of Huawei. It offers a large display at a very affordable price and suits best for those who cannot afford high end Android phones. Though the screen is large but it is not full HD but at the very affordable price, this is then ignorable issue. So Ascend G620s is giving good competition to Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, Moto G 4G and Sony Xperia M2.
Features and Specifications
The handset is little on heavy side weighing 160g supporting micro-SIM. The screen is 5-inch large having IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and multi-touch feature. The OS provided to it is Android v4.4.2 KitKat with the power of 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The RAM is 1GB and the internal storage is 8GB but can be further expanded up to 32GB with the help of microSD card. The rear camera is of 8MP with many features like LED light, autofocus, face detection, touch focus, geo tagging while the front camera is of 2MP used for selfies. The battery is 2000mAh Li-Po and the connectivity options are Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB, and GSM. The set is available in two colors i.e. white and black.
Design and Quality
The design of the handset is not something new. The device is made up of all plastic. But something different has been tried by the company with the back side of the device. The back has been given blotchy leather finish giving the device a classic look. The plastic feel of the device though doesn’t leave a good impact on user. The textured back gives good hold of the device. The navigation keys are placed at the bottom of the screen which also adds some extra height to the device. The power button and volume rocker are found on the right hand side of the device. Above the screen is the front facing camera, the ear piece while at the back is the 8MP camera with LED flash, the company logo and the speaker grille at the bottom back. The back cover is removable but the battery is non-removable. Under the back microSD card and microSIM slots are also available besides battery. The edges of the smartphone are nicely curved and the viewing angles of the screen are also good.
OS and Tech
The phone has quite latest OS which is Android v4.4.2 KitKat which gives smooth performance of the device. But the look of the OS has been smartly changed by Huawei by a software known as Emotion UI. There has not been any performance lags observed with this device. The OS is given complete support from the processor and the 1GB RAM and thus making its performance flawless to some extent.
Camera and Multimedia
The 8MP back camera is a pleasant addition from the Huawei. The speed of the shutter though is not very fast but it is acceptable and the picture quality is also quite nice. The quality of videos recorded with it is also of acceptable quality. Daylight shooting has much better results than dim light shooting though the LED flash work well to provide enough light to dim light photography experience. The front camera works equally well for the video calls/selfies and no complaints have yet been received about it.
Batter and Memory
The battery life is quite good. 2000mAh is considered high enough for an affordable device like Ascend G620s. Most of the energy of the battery has been eaten up by the large screen so Huawei has smartly provided energy preserving feature so that the brightness of the screen can be lowered in order to preserve the battery. This much battery can stand for whole day under moderate use and the recharging of it takes few hours. The RAM is 1GB but is quite good for this device while the internal storage is 8GB and can be easily expanded further to raise the memory up to 32GB.
Pros and Cons
For pros:

· Powerful 64-bit processor
· Nice camera
· Good battery
· Latest OS
For cons:
· Battery is non-removable
· UI is to some extent questionable

Verdict
The competitive feature of this device is the large screen and the affordable price. Rests of the features are all very common, found in almost every mid-range handset. Samsung Galaxy Core 2 also offers almost similar specification but the price is higher than Huawei Ascend G620s and this is the reason this handset has attracted attention of many users and is getting fame the way devices of good brands do. Again the choice is of users as what effects you more apart from price.
