Features and Specifications

The screen of HTC Desire 7060 is 5-inch with 540x960p resolution. The processor given to it is 1.2GHz quad-core with 1GB RAM. The built-in storage is 8GB and can be easily expandable up to 64GB with the use of MicroSD card. It has two cameras, the rear and the front camera. The rear camera is 8MP along with the LED light while the front one is 2.1MP which is used for video calling and selfies. The phone weighs 149g and doesn’t feel that bulky. It runs Android v4.1.2 Jelly Beans and has a battery of 2100mAh and the connectivity features are 2G/3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, microUSB, and Bluetooth. This device supports dual SIMs.

Design and Quality

The design of the Desire 7060 is similar to that of HTC Desire 7088 and HTC Desire 709d. It is made up of good quality plastic with curved edges. At the top of the screen is the front facing camera, sensors and the speaker grille, while at the bottom there are three navigation keys. At the very top of the mobile is the 3.5mm audio jack while at the bottom is the microUSB port. There is a speaker grille at the bottom of the screen as well. The back of the phone carries the back camera with the LED light below it and the HTC logo. The back of the phone is removable where there is the battery and the microSD slot along with two SIMs slots. The look and feel of the handset is quite nice and looks good in hand.

OS and Tech

The OS used in this device is Android v4.1.2 Jelly Beans which is not a new OS. The processor though, is not very powerful but it gives full support for the working of the OS and there is a quite decent amount of multitasking being observed in it. This OS is very common for mid-range devices these days.

Camera and Multimedia

The back 8MP camera is well supported by the LED light for the dim light photography. In a mid-range device even this much camera is enough but much expectations must not be attached with it. The still images are of not very bad quality but they are acceptable but the videos recorded by it is of better quality than still images. The videos are of well-defined clarity and the color description is also good. The front camera is though better than Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which has 1.9MP front camera and Desire 7060 has 2.1MP and works much better than the back camera.

Battery and Memory

The battery is 2100 mAh which provides 600hrs of stand by time and 10hrs of talk time as claimed by the company. The battery life is good enough to provide whole day support to average functionalities of the device. The 1GB RAM is enough for any mid-range device while the internal storage is also not bad as there is extension provided to it up to 64GB.

HTC Desire 7060 is another addition to Desire line. This mid-range handset is quite efficient in performing necessary functionalities. Since HTC concentrates more on producing mid-range devices so much cannot be expected from any device that comes in this range. What one need to do is to look for the better features it is providing and ignoring the odd ones. The good features include the design and look of the device along with the large qHD screen and the good battery life, these are what need to be present in good manner in any device and HTC does it very elegantly. But for photographers, they device may not be very attractive and they would go for something better in this department at the expense of higher price. The overall performance of this handset is quite good and is able to catch the attention of the users. The screen of the phone is very fantastic which could be the attractive point for some of the users.
