ZTE Nubia Z7 is a Dual SIM handset. The screen is 5.5-inch large with Capacitive Touchscreen technology carrying 16M colors providing multi-touch. The OS is Android v4.4 KitKat and the processor is 2.5GHz quad core. The RAM here is 3 GB while the internal storage is 32GB without providing any further extension to memory. The back camera is 13MP with dual-LED light and features like touch focus, geo tagging, panorama, face detection and HDR. The front camera is 5MP. The battery is 3000 mAh Li-ion while the connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and GSM.

Design and Quality

This is a very well designed handset. The shape is square and has the metallic sides. The looks of the device seem like that of Ascend P6 and iPhone 6. The black color in the device is very stylish. There is an attractive red ring all around camera and the enter button. The camera has been set very deep inside the phone which gives a better viewpoint and good look and feel. The design of the phone makes it very attractive handset. It is slim too and is lighter to be carried. The cover of the phone also gives a good feel and is fingerprint proof too while it is equally not slippery. At the bottom of the screen is the big red home button which is actually inherited from the very first generation which was appeared on screen of Nubia. The top of the screen has the light sensor, front facing camera and receivers. The screen is 5.5-inch large and is full HD. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass keeping it safe from cracks and scratches.

OS and Tech

The OS he is Android v4.4 KitKat on top of it is the Nubia own User Interface. The UI has also been upgrade to Nubia v2.0. The OS is latest making the multitasking quite fast and reactive while the new UI is very much responsive to user needs. The UI also carries new tweaks and features for the interest of users.

Camera and Multimedia

The back camera is 13MP having OSI Optical Vibration Reduction. The camera is very nice in its functionality supported well by the LED light. The images generated by it are of great quality even the nighttime photography is a complete fun. The videos recorded by it are also of nice quality without any glimpse of shakiness observed in them. The front 5MP camera is perfectly fine for the selfies and the video calls.

Battery and Memory

The 3000 mAh battery is large enough to provide good support for the device. This much battery can provide a complete day use under normal use. The large screen has the energy preserving features as well which can allow the battery to get working for two days. The large battery also takes a lot of time to get 100% recharged. The RAM is quite large here giving a full robust performance to the device and the internal storage is also large enough to keep all user apps on it but no further extension to memory is provided.

ZTE Nubia Z7 is a good device with very decent features and specifications. The ZTE made a really good progress from X6 to Z7. It is equally good for those who are photography lovers with good screen and this can be hardly found in a single device. Though the processor is not very powerful but it not bad at all but the handset is a real success. Though, the price is little high but who cares if a well-designed handset having smarter features are coming on little extra price. The best things in this device are the good camera and the excellent display screen. These features are very rare these days and users often have to compromise among many features. The final selection of the smartphone is in hands of the user as it is for them what features are more important to them. But overall this handset is good in almost every category.
