Lenovo Vibe Z2 weighs 158g and supports Dual SIMs. The screen of the device is 5.5-inch which is qHD having 267p density and is developed with IPS LPC Capacitive Touchscreen technology. The processor is of Snapdragon clocked at 1.2GHz quad-core. The RAM is 2GB and the internal memory is 32GB which cannot be further expanded. The rear camera is 13MP with dual LED light and a front facing camera of 8MP. The OS is Android v4.4.2 KitKat and the battery is 3000mAh. The connectivity features included are Wi-Fi, 3G, LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and NFC.

Design and Quality

Lenovo came out with a big revolution in design with its release of Vibe X and K900. Though, the company had its product before these two as well but the metallic casing of K900 and the slimness of Lenovo Vibe X made special design icon for Lenovo. This one is indeed a big device. The 5.5-inch large screen is no doubt a big invention from Lenovo with stunning bezels cuts. The phone is smaller in size than Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus. The look of the device is very elegant having jet black at the front and aluminum body at back along with red ring all around the rear camera. The bottom of the device has the speaker grille and the microUSB port along with microphones. The top of the phone has the head set jack with power button. The right hand side has the camera button and the volume rocker. The left hand side carries a SIM card slot. The top of the large screen has the front facing camera with some sensors while the bottom has the three navigation keys. This is thinner and smarter handset though big.

OS and Tech

The latest OS has been running in it Android v4.4.2 KitKat along with Lenovo’s’ own interface known as Vibe UI running on top of it. The multitasking performed by the OS is very well. The device has the option if someone doesn’t like the UI, he/she can switch back to the Android mode by rebooting the device. The large screen if is not comfortable for few in using, this problem is very elegantly resolved by Lenovo by drawing an inverted C from very outer part of right hand side towards the lower part of this same side. The screen will get shrunk and is converted into micro screen which is even then fully functional as was in larger case.

Camera and Multimedia

The camera is wonderful here same as that of K900 and Vibe X. the camera is very much responsive and takes brilliant close ups. Optical image stabilization sensor is also provided in order to remove the shakiness in videos and images. This is one of the best camera in smartphone along with Gionee Elife E7 and Sony Xperia Z3. The quality of still images is awesome along with that of videos. One need to keep in mind that camera app must not be left running in background as it makes the device heat up very quickly. The front camera also performs its functionality in a very elegant manner.

Battery and Memory

The 3000 mAh battery life is no doubt very amazing. It can easily provide about two days working of the device without any need to be recharged. Under moderate use, this may even last for three days. The large battery but takes quite a lot of time to get fully recharged. The RAM is very huge which makes the performance quite faster. The internal storage though is limited to 32GB only without any further expansion.

Verdict

The device has the powerful 64-bit processor with wonderful front and rear cameras. The screen of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 is not very interesting and in this domain it may not defeat other devices in similar range. Rest all of the features of Lenovo Vibe Z2 are similar to Lenovo Vibe X2 and there is no improvement of enhancement in this device. Since it is a budget device so the features and specifications provided to it are exceptional this can hardly be found in other budget smartphones.
