Samsung, the only company that was able to take on Apple right when it was on top of the game. With its Galaxy series Samsung not only gave a better value for your money but it also brought the smart phones to the masses. Thus, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is no exception, with its Quad-Core processor and a 1 GB ram promises power with excellent Samsung user experience which we are all aware of.
Specifications and Features:
The Samsung Galaxy Prime comes powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor and a 1 GB ram. The phone has 8 GB of internal storage space and there is also Micro SD card slot which can take a card of up to 64 GB of capacity. The phone has 4.5 inches capacitive touch screen with the screen resolution at 480x800 pixels the screen is rather respectable when it comes to image quality and video playback quality. The phone also has dual sim technology and can run on 3 G, 4 G and LTE so that covers up the latest of the connectivity facilities. Further on the phone has a 5.0 mega-pixels primary camera and secondary camera is 2 mega pixels sensor which provide good quality photographs. The phone also has all the features you can expect from a mid-range smart phone like GPS, NFC, HD video recording and whatnot? For the Indian market the phone also comes in loaded with certain Indian languages.
Design and Quality:
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is available in three colors white, charcoal and black and the back cover unlike previous Samsung’s isn’t a glossy one but it is rather matte finished. Therefore, when held in the hand, the phone gives a very nice quality feel and due to the matte finish there won’t be any scratches appearing on it anytime soon. On the other gives quite a quality feel when held in one’s hand and doesn’t feel cheap. The front of the screen houses the 4.5 inch screen which covers the 64.9 percent of the phone. Right on top of the screen we have the Samsung monogram in the center and on top of the monogram we have the speaker slit which has the a couple of sensors towards the right and then we have the secondary camera further right to it. When we move to the back side of the phone we have the typical Samsung layout with most of the area left empty and right bang in the middle there we the same Samsung monogram and above the monogram we have the 5 mega pixels camera with the led flash towards its left and the loudspeaker slits to its left. Sticking to the back side the only problem we have is that camera cover is protruding a little bit so it forms a bump which might be prone to scratches. On the right of the phone we have the power button and on the left side we have the volume rocker. The top side of the phone houses the 3.5 mm audio jack the bottom side contains the micro USB port.
OS and Tech:
The phone is powered the Android KitKat (V 4.4.2) which as we all are aware is one of the most customizable UI. Further on the OS provides exceptional multitasking and switching from app to app is pretty much flawless. Though we are still waiting for the Lollipop upgrade on to this phone.
Camera and Multimedia:
As told before the phone comes loaded with 5 megapixels primary camera and a 2 megapixel secondary camera with beauty mode. The camera has the ability to record video in 720p with autofocus, other features on the camera include face detection, geo tagging and touch focus. Further on the phone does come a picture and a video editor The 207 ppi screen with 480x800 pixels provides good quality video playback and can also be used quite easily in bright sunlight though the phone does lacks the ability of auto brightness adjustment.
Battery and Memory:
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is powered by a 2000 mAh lithium ion battery, which can provide the phone with a substantial amount of battery backup. The phone is able to give up to 13 hours of talk time on 3 G and up to 64 hours of music playback, which interpreted in to normal daily usage is battery timing of around one and half day with normal usage. On the memory front the phone has 8 GB of internal memory and the memory is expandable to 64 GB with the aid of a micro SD card slot, which gives you plenty of space for your apps, music and all the other important data.

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is good phone if you’re looking for a good everyday partner that will help you get your emails, sort your meetings outs, or when you are looking for entertainment you can easily play a game all without any compromise on battery timing or performance. Though in the same price range the Lava Iris X5 can give you a better camera both primary and secondary. But when it comes to battery life the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime excels all.
