Motorola Nexus 6 32GB Mobile Price in India
Google Nexus is a line of consumer electronic devices that run pure stock Android OS. Google takes some control over the design, manufacture and production of these devices, but most of the production and manufacturing is carried out by partnering original equipment manufacturers. There have been 6 nexus devices and 4 tablet computers till date. These devices are considered Google’s flagship products and receive the fastest updates to newer android versions. The 2014 flagship Nexus 6 is just as good an addition to the Nexus line. This time, the device was co-developed by Google and Motorola mobility and is the first phone to be launched with Google’s latest stock Android Lollipop.
Features and Specifications
The successor to the Nexus 5 is not exactly a phone, but a phablet at 6 inches. The Motorola Nexus 6 has one of the most stunningly vivid screens found in a smartphone. A 5.96” QHD AMOLED display with a stunning 493 ppi that delivers rock solid viewing angles that even puts the iPhone 6 plus to shame. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Housing the latest OS, with the new Material Design Interface, the smartphone performs flawlessly as expected of a flagship like the Nexus 6. A 2.7 GHz quad-core Krait 450 CPU powers the phone along with a Snapdragon 805 chipset. The RAM is powerful enough with 3 GB of stock capacity while the internal storage is 32/64 GB. A 13 MP Camera with OIS feature is provided in the rear with a dual-LED ring flash which takes stunning shots at breathtaking clarity. The front camera is a 2 MP shooter which captures just equally impressive shots. The Camera is also capable of recording videos at 4K resolution. A 3220 mAh battery is present in the Nexus which is non-removable with fast charging options. The Nexus 6 is also water resistant which a nice addition to the phone among many new tweaks.
Design and Quality
The design of the Nexus 6 is commendable, to say the least. Unlike the previous versions of the Nexus Smartphone lineup, Google decided to go flagship big this time. The Nexus 6 takes its look heavily from Motorola’s new Moto X and basically looks like a bigger Moto X. It has the same curved back, an aluminium trim that covers it around the edges into the backplate at the top. Although the device looks Premium and beautiful, is just too wide to grip comfortably and people upgrading from smaller phones, may find it a tad uncomfortable, at 10 mm. That does not mean the device looks cheap, in fact the Nexus 6 has a great built quality and no doubt is a premium through and through. The Volume control along with the power button is located at the right side while the headphone jack is at the top for easier access.
OS and Tech
The Nexus 6 is the first smartphone to be launched with Android OS 5.0 which is Google’s latest in the field of Android. The 5.0 introduces a new interface called Material Design, which reaches every corner- from the dialer to the notifications and even the home screen. Overall, with the Material Design accompanying the Google Now, the device comes off as more dynamic and alive. Lollipop also enables users to unlock the smartphone through Bluetooth. The device supports NFC and Google takes NFC to a whole new level in the phone.
Camera and Multimedia
The Nexus 6 comes with a 13 MP rear shooter, with an improved and enhanced Sony sensor. The camera is quite nimble and takes ultra-sharp photos and is also capable of UHD i.e. 4K recording. The front camera is equally brilliant at 2 MP - it takes some of the crispiest and snappiest shots. The improvement in camera is a welcome addition as it has been traditionally overlooked in the Nexus family.
Battery and Memory
Providing juice to the phone is a 3220 mAh battery which provides impressive battery life to the device. It comes loaded with the Qualcomm quick-charge 2.0 so when charged for 15 minutes, it bumps up the battery to last 6 hours. The battery life is impressive as well, lasting almost two days at moderate usage. The 3 GB of RAM in the device along with the Snapdragon 805 guarantees smooth and flawless performance in every aspect. The internal 32/64 GB also ensures the performance and storage needs of the device. Sadly, there is no external storage option with the Nexus 6.
Pros and Cons:
For pros:
• Super Display
• Latest Stock Android Lollipop with New Interface
• Top of the line specs
• Qi+ turbo charging
For Cons:
• Size and weight issues for some
• No external memory card
Verdict
The Nexus 6 is not a perfect flagship. The supersize and heavier weight may make many to reconsider their choices and go for other equally impressive devices like the Galaxy Note 4 or even the iPhone 6 plus. Besides that, it’s still the most powerful pure Android handset in the market which aims to impress in all segments.
