Sony Xperia Z3V

Sony Xperia Z3V Mobile Price in India
The Sony Xperia Z3v is the latest arrival from Sony having stylish design. Sony is one of the good smartphone manufacturing companies which are making good profit by selling its smart device. The Z3v has almost similar specifications as that of Xperia Z3 but the design is not similar to that of Z3. This device by now is showing as the best device from Sony. The design of Z3 was surely a step ahead in Sony’s peculiar design and was softer, thinner and has rounded edges better than Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1. But these design improvements cannot be observed in Z3v.
Features and Specifications
This is a heavy set weighing 170.6g. It supports Nano SIM. The screen size is 5.2-inch having IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen technology supporting 16M colors. The screen also supports multi-touch of up to 10 fingers while the protection to the screen is Shatter Proof Glass. The OS is Android v4.4.4 KitKat which has been planned to v5.0 Lollipop. The processor is 2.5GHz quad-core. The RAM is 3GB and the built in storage is 32GB which can further be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. The back camera is 20.7MP having LED flash with many features like autofocus, touch focus, face detection, geo tagging, panorama and HDR. The front camera is 2.2MP used nicely for selfies. The battery is 3200mAh which is non-removable.
Design and Quality
The appearance of Sony Xperia Z3v is outdated but is quite solid. The quality of the phone is if not very good but nobody complaints about it. The design is sleek and monolithic. It has large black glass and metal edges giving thick and chunky feelings which can hardly be found in any other handset. The design is more similar to Z2. Though the glass looks nice but it invites fingerprints. It has black plastic bumper edges which give little cheap look than that of Z3. It gives good grip and lacks hand friendly feelings as those can be found in Motorola Moto X. This is among the flatter phones available in the market. The power button is at the right hand side along with volume rocker and a camera shutter. The microUSB, SIM card and microSD card slots are found along the edges.
OS and Tech
The Android OS is same here as found in Z3 along with having a good interface. It is less bright than interfaces found in LG Mobiles and Samsung Mobiles. The UI can be easily customized as per the likings of the user. The device has some enough number of preloaded apps and other stuff offering only confusion rather than any service or purpose.
Camera and Multimedia
The camera here is quite impressive. The 20.7MP camera is similar to that found in Z3 along with bunch of good shooting modes and filters. Under good light conditions, the images taken by it seem excellent, though not very best but the lowlight photography is a complete disaster. The camera also suffers from the inconsistencies as that of Z3 in shape of requiring many shots before giving a suitable shot. But this doesn’t mean the camera is bad at all. This is one of the best cameras available in smartphones these days. The videos are also of good quality recorded by it. The front camera works equally nice for selfies and video calls. People would definitely like the performance of the camera.
Battery and Memory
The 3200 mAh battery is littler larger than Z3’s 3100 mAh. The average time battery can allow is 2 days as per the claims of the company. There is charging mate available for this device which allows the battery to get charged instead of putting its charger in some socket, just lay down this phone on mate and the battery will get charged but large batteries means it takes a lot of time to get completely charged. It takes 2 hours to get only 61% charge so almost 3hrs are required to get 100%. The RAM is wonderful here which gives robust performance of the device, the internal storage is also large enough to support many apps but 120GB extension via microSD card makes the memory unimaginable.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Waterproof handset for about 30 minutes
· Allows PlayStation from remote play
· Expandable storage
· Latest OS
· Powerful RAM
· Good processor
· Nice battery life
For Cons:
· Not interesting design
· Heavier phone
Verdict
This device is somewhere between Z2 and Z3. Apart from the design, the good price and the wonderfully large memory make this handset an ideal choice for many. But there are some better alternative to this device also available like Motorola Droid Turbo which has much better battery life than Sony Xperia Z3v, a better processor and much higher resolution of screen at almost the price. Nexus 6 has much better screen and upgraded Android v5.0 OS at almost similar price range. So for users there are many options to choose from.
