ZTE Blade L2 Mobile Price in India
ZTE mobiles are no stranger to budget smart phones, they are known for their quality built smart phones, with extraordinary user experience and easy to use UI. Ever since they started producing smartphones they’ve become one of the bestselling smartphone companies in the country with over 1 million units of the blade series sold out in the market. The ZTE Blade L2 is another new budget smartphone with a 5.o inch display and a quad core processor is this phone an underdog or not? Should you get your hands on one of these or not? Well that is what we are about to find out in this review.
Features and Specifications:
The ZTE Blade L2 has 5.0 inch IPS capacitive touch screen and supports multi touch input. The screen has a resolution of 480x854 pixels and the pixels density is around 196 PPI, not the best display but for the price range it isn’t the worst display either and seems to do the job just fine. Further on the Blade L2 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and a Mali400 graphics card. The ram of the smart phone is 1 GB whereas the rom isn’t the most spacious rom at just 4 GB, so thus you’ll soon need to load the Blade L2 with a micro SD card and the phone can support a card of up to 32 GB. The phone has an 8 Megapixels primary camera and the secondary camera is just a tiny little 1 Megapixels camera sensor. The phone can run on 2 G and 3 G networks, the phone also has the ability to run two Sims at the same time one being micro sim and the other being the old school sim.
Design and Quality:
The Blade L2 has rather rectangular shape more or less it resembles the Sony Xperia smartphones, but that depends on your taste whether or not you like the phones design, but many people believe that Xperia are good looking. Further on when you look at the phone from front you are welcomed by the 5.0 inch touchscreen with the capacitive stock android navigation keys at the bottom of the screen and the speaker is disguised under a metal grill which looks very neat. There are a couple of sensors on to left hand side of the earpiece and the secondary camera is towards the right hand side of the ear piece. Moving towards the back side of the phone we have mostly see nothing and a lot of white space is there, which gives the phone a very nice look and like many good phones the back cover isn’t very cluttered. The eye is grabbed by the ZTE logo when you look at the back cover of the phone whereas the camera is on the top left hand side of the back side houses the camera and the LED flash, right beneath the camera it says the megapixel count in a very eye catching red color, to the bottom of the cover we see the loud speaker. The volume rocker is placed on the right side of the phone and on the opposite to volume rocker you find the power button very conveniently placed and can be reached easily with the thumb when held in one hand. Onto the bottom of the phone we see the Micro USB port and the 3.5 mm audio jack is on the top side. All in all the design of the phone is very sleek and feels nice to hold in the hand and doesn’t feel chunky.
OS and Tech:
The ZTE blade L2 runs on not the latest or not the one before that but rather it is powered by now almost obsolete android V4.2 Jellybean, it isn’t the worst OS out there in the market but certainly isn’t the best one either. Jellybean as we are all aware of is quite memory hungry is a bit heavier in running than the much later KitKat OS. The UI is fairly customizable and is user friendly but the due to it not being a KitKat or a Lollipop, it will constantly cringe in one’s mind and will be result of bad user experience.
Camera and Multimedia:
The Blade L2 has an 8 megapixels primary camera and a 1 megapixel secondary up front for the Indian market. The camera has excellent quality and can focus pretty well in close ups, the picture quality is quite vivid and clear though the camera seemed to struggle when it was introduced to low light photography and there is quite a bit noise but it isn’t all bad. Though the same cannot be said for the video quality since the phone lacks HD recording. But the screen of the phone is another winning factor, bear in mind that this is a budget phone and it’s not here to take on the iPhones or the Galaxy S5 and thus for the price range, thus for the price range, it provides a good picture quality on the screen and good video playback but it doesn’t provides the best viewing angles.
Battery and Memory:
ZTE has put in a fixed batter in the Blade L2 and it is a 2000 mAh Lithium-ion battery. The battery is enough to go through a full complete day but if the brightness is kept high then the battery timing might drop. The phone doesn’t have the biggest internal memory at just 4 GB but with the aid of a memory card it can be expanded to 32 GB which will provide ample amount of space for your apps and data.
Pros and Cons:
For pros
· Nice design
· Big screen
· Good Camera
· Quad core processor
For cons:
· Poor viewing angles
· Outdated OS
· Low ROM
Verdict:
The ZTE Blade L2 is definitely a very appealing phone especially considering the factor that this is a budget phone. The phone is from a company that knows what it is doing and has been on a role for quite a while now and has become one of the biggest smartphone company in India as well. The phone has great design, doesn’t look or feel cheap in your hand and isn’t too heavy on your pocket as well, especially considering the fact that Samsung’s dual Core smart phones cost more than this.
