Samsung Z Tizen Mobile Price in India
The Samsung has launched its first ever smartphone Z which carries its home brewed OS Tizen. It looks similar to Android based phone Samsung Galaxy S5. This has been a long awaited smartphone from Samsung. Tizen is actually a Linux based OS and is led by Intel and Samsung. The design looks similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S5 with an angular shape. This device was rumored a lot in media and much of marketing has been given to it before its final release so people were having their fingers crossed to actually view it.
Features and Specifications
Samsung Z Tizen weighs 136g and has the fingerprint sensor. The screen is 4.8-inch made out of Super AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen carrying 16M colors and also offers multi-touch. The OS is Tizen v2.2.1 and the processor is 2.3GHz quad-core. The RAM is 2GB while the built-in storage is 16GB but is expandable further up to 64GB via microSD card. The rear camera is 8MP with LED flash and features like geo tagging and auto focus. The front camera is 2.1MP used nicely for the video calls and selfies. The battery is 2600mAh and the connectivity options are microUSB, NFS, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GSM.
Design and Quality
The design of the device is angular as compared to rounded as can be seen in Samsung’s S line smartphones. The shape of this device is square having little rounded back edges to provide easier grip. The back cover is made up of faux plastic which also makes holding of the phone easy along with avoiding cheap feelings and look of the device as normally phones having plastic backs do. The screen is very sharp and crisp but at times the touchscreen fails or lags in recognizing the finger. The sliver trim can be found all around the home button and all the sides of the device.
OS and Tech
Tizen is a completely new OS but people who are familiar with the Android OS must feel comfortable using Tizen OS. The OS is faster enough to give enough amount of multitasking in no time and the running of apps on it is also quite fast. But yet it doesn’t support Google apps and Samsung need to take some serious step to make some sort of compatibility of this OS with Google apps.
Camera and Multimedia
The camera app here has few very smart modes. Though it lacks as many modes as available in Galaxy S5 but the very smart and efficient shooting modes make it stand out from S5. The performance of the camera is also very nice and it gives some beautifully shot pictures under good lighting conditions. The performance of the LED light is also good under low light but still the images are not that much clear under low light. The videos recorded by it are also of better quality. The front camera works just fine for the selfies and video conferencing.
Battery and Memory
2600 mAh battery is not bad here. Since the screen is not very large enough along with having some power saving modes, so this battery can easily last for a whole day under normal use which is neither very heavy nor very low. It gets recharged completely fast and thus makes the use of the device a real fun. The RAM is powerful here and boosts the performance of the device. The internal storage is also enough for any user but the extension up to 64GB makes it more fascinating for many users so memory is not at all any issue in these devices. All apps can easily run from both the primary and secondary memory.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· New OS
· Nice design
· Powerful RAM
· Good internal storage
· Nice camera
· Good battery
· Powerful processor
For Cons:
· No support to Google Apps
Verdict
Samsung took quite a long time developing Tizen based Smartphone and Z is the first ever such phone by it. The design and specifications are smart enough to give a good competition to Android based smartphones available in market. Though the design is very appealing, the Samsung Z Tizen has to struggle for bringing those apps on set which are liked most by the users. Samsung yet has to see where this device goes in future and how much fame Tizen can gather and the attraction it holds from its customers. Samsung Tizen Z when released, the company had a clear vision of targeting the emerging markets of India especially and Russia with some low cost devices so the price for this device is much affordable than its Android counterparts and this is a good news about Tizen based smartphone. This is one small step from Samsung but it has yet to go a long distance to make this OS a favorite one.
