Samsung Galaxy Core Plus
Samsung Galaxy Core Plus Mobile Price in India
This is a new invention from Samsung which is an affordable effort having 4.3-inch screen. The plus models of Android handset are becoming commonly released by different companies which are actually a revamped version of the older sets but with better and improved specifications. But the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus isn’t actually an improvement rather it is a complete fledged handset having its own spectacular specifications and design. The success of the device is yet to be observed in coming years that how it attracts the eyes of the users and what special it can offer to them.
Features and Specifications
Galaxy Core Plus is a light weight handset weighing 132.5g and comes with an optional Dual SIM feature. The display is about 4.3-inch having TFT Capacitive Touchscreen technology with 16M colors and offers multi-touch capability. The OS he is Android v4.2 Jelly Beans and a processor of 1.2GHz dual-core is attached to it. The RAM, however is less as it is 768MB in this case and is lowered from 1GB which is contradiction to improvement. The internal storage is 4GB though it is very less but an extension to memory has been provided via microSD card which raises the memory to 64GB. The back camera is 5MP with LED light and features such as autofocus, Geo tagging, and touch focus while the front camera is VGA. The battery is 1800mAh and the connectivity features included are Wi-Fi, GPS, microUSB, NFS, Bluetooth and GSM.
Design and Quality
This is a typical Samsung phone having its specific polycarbonate built and has got an acceptable design but nothing very extraordinary has been observed in its design. The look of the device is similar to almost all of the devices of Samsung. It has glossy plastic and polycarbonate made back which looks like a metal frame but it is not actually and the front is all made up of glass. There are navigations keys towards the front as well the home button which is located towards the bottom of the screen. It is a pocket friendly handset and is little bit towards the thicker side but the feel of the device in hand is good. There is good amount of balance between the back plastic and the front glass due to the bezels. The screen is not of high quality but it doesn’t look bad at all. The device doesn’t have any light sensor at the front so the brightness needs to be adjusted by the user himself.
OS and Tech
The OS is rather old here as it runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Beans so this device is not at all extension to its previous successors as there is no enhancement either in features or in performance. The old OS would definitely affect the performance of this handset and Samsung should have been provided an upgrade to it.
Camera and Multimedia
The 5MP rear camera in Samsung Galaxy Core Plus is not very fantastic though it works nicely. Since there is no light sensor and the working of the LED light is also not very astonishing so the user has to struggle here for the adjustment of the light otherwise the images produced are of weird quality. Under normal light conditions, the pictures are acceptable but they do have lot of noise while on the other hand the quality of videos is better than the still images even though they do carry noise in them. The front camera is very basic and works just ok for the selfies and video calls.
Battery and Memory
The 1800 mAh memory is not bad in this case and works fine for the whole day since the specifications of the device are not very demanding so this battery works perfectly fine for them. Under moderate use, this can last for whole day and under heavy use, it would require to be recharged once in a day. The RAM is very limited and this would result in performance degradation while the internal storage is also very less, 4 GB internal storage would not be appreciated by Samsung lovers but the memory extension is huge so one can have and upgraded memory up to 64 GB and this is really an interesting thing about this handset.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Extendible memory
· Good battery
For Cons:
· Old OS
· Sticky design
· Average camera
· Very low RAM
· Limited built-in storage
Verdict
This device is not very extraordinary and Samsung should have been put something very interesting if it intended to attract users. LG L70 is better than this device which is affordable as well as having battery features and specifications than this handset. Except for the battery life, there is nothing worth appreciating about Samsung Galaxy Core Plus so in real terms this is not a plus from Samsung as was expected.
