Samsung Galaxy A5 has got 5 inch super AMOLED capacitive smooth touch screen which is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which is a good sign as many phones at this range offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5. A5 offers HD resolution i.e. 720*1280 which is awesome if you are late night movie watcher. It has got old Kitkat Android OS which may receive lollipop update in future and it has got 1.2 GHz processor making it a good performer. A5 is loaded with Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 Chipset and RAM is 2gb which is powerful enough to play high spec games, also it has got 16 GB Internal  storage which is one of the positive point of the phone and we can also expand external memory up to 64 GB.  The Primary Rear Camera is 13 MP with LED Flash and autofocus it can record videos in 1080p@30fps [frame per second] and has also got extra feature like panorama, face detection and touch focus. The Secondary Camera or Selfie Camera  is 5MP which is also not bad but we can get same in low price range. The battery life here is 2300 mAh which is neither good nor bad. All the connectivity features are embedded in the phone such as Wi-FI, hotspot, Dual-band, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, NFS, and microUSB v2.0.

Design and Quality

The design of Samsung Galaxy A5 is really amazing. It is one of the thinnest smart phones I have ever seen, it is just 6.7 mm. It has got premium full metal unibody design which makes it more reliable. There are physical home buttons on the front side of the phone. It has got no protruding corners, unlike other Samsung phones. This phone is available in five variants: Light Blue, Champagne Gold, Midnight Black,Silver and Soft Pink you can select any from these colors. Galaxy A5 is taller but at the same time it’s not much wider but the design here is flatter or you can say it’s just like an iphone!

OS and Tech

Galaxy A5 has got Android v4.4.4 or Kitkat which is old as Lollipop is already launched. Android is defiantly best OS for mobile and it works more perfectly with Galaxy A5. I think A5 will get Lollipop update soon in this year.

Camera and Multimedia

This mobile is very good in camera department. It has got 13 MP front camera with autofocus and LED but still we can get same specs in lower price group phones like Redmi Note. The front camera is 5MP which is a strong point of this phone but still many new phones are offering same in low price. It can record videos in 1080p and at 30 FPS which is a good sign for this phone. Also, it has got 5 inch display which is good if you are a Virtual Reality Device User.

Battery and Memory

The battery of this phone is also not quite good in thie price range. It gives talktime for upto 15 hours and you can listen music for 68 hours. It has got Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery which is not sufficient for this price group. I am quite impressed with the memory department of this phone. Its internal memory is 16 GB which is awesome and it is loaded with 2 GB Ram so you can play any game with ease. It supports microSD up to 64 GB which is more than enough for normal phone users.

Verdict

Samsung Galaxy A5 is sure better than Galaxy A3,it is bigger, quality camera, great ram and storage, awesome processor. The design is also very pretty and it is a good performer too, but it is little over priced as you can go with OnePlus One or Sony Xperia Z3 Compact which is better than this. Also the screen is quite good which is ideal for watching movies and play games. It has got Corning Gorilla Class 4 while many other phones in this price range offers only Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is surely great phone for Selfie lovers who also want to get high performance at the same time.
