Lenovo S90 Sisley 32GB Mobile Price in India
In terms of design, Apple has always been an inspiration for majority of smartphone manufacturers like Lava, Micromax and Xiaomi as well as Samsung. But one device which is a complete copy cat of Apple design is the Lenovo S90 Sisley. It has bluntly copies the design of iPhone 6 along with copying the promotions methods of iPhone 6. Lenovo has itself admitted that the external similarities with Apple do exist in this handset but the specifications it carries are specifically for this handset and it is though not very easy to blindly copy any design, why then Lenovo did so?
Features and Specifications
Lenovo S90 Sisley is a lighter phone weighing 129g supporting Dual SIM. The screen is 5.0-inch having Super AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen technology with 16M colors also providing multi-touch. The OS is Android v4.4.4 KitKat and the processor provided to it is 1.2Ghz Quad-core. The RAM is 1/2GB and the internal storage is 16/32GB without providing any further memory extension. The rear camera is 13MP with LED light and features like geo tagging, auto focus, face detection, HDR and touch focus. The front camera is 8MP along with an LED light and used perfectly nice for the video calls and selfies. The battery is 2300mAh Li-ion while the connectivity features are also huge including Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and GSM.
Design and Quality
The design of the handset is very much similar to that of iPhone 6 having metallic back and the back carries rear camera at the top left corner with LED light. The front and back of the device are separated by fine chassis which gives nice feelings as was in the case of iPhone 6. This is also a flatter phone similarly like iPhone 6. The look and feel of the handset is not bad though it gives illusion of iPhone 6 and fits perfectly in hand. This is the slimmest handset. The power button is towards the right hand side. The volume key is towards left hand side. In short every design external features has been copied from iPhone 6.
OS and Tech
The OS is latest in this case providing good amount of multitasking and the experience to use this handset is great with the latest OS being installed in it. The Lenovo’s own user interface has been provided on top of it with the name Vibe 2.0. The company is not yet in favor of providing any update to OS for Android v5.0 Lollipop.
Camera and Multimedia
The 13MP camera is nice here with perfect coordination from the LED light. The images captured by this camera are of much better quality than most of the Lenovo’s previous handsets. The shutter is fast enough here to capture as many pictures as possible in order to get a perfect image as required. The video recorded by this camera is also of good quality and looks nice on the screen. The quality of the videos is better than those of images as images still have some graininess in them. The front camera here also has LED light and it gives flawless performance for the selfies and the video calls.
Battery and Memory
Lenovo S90 Sisley has 2300 mAh non-removable battery but here it is very disappointing. This much battery can only provide 12hrs of talk time, 7hrs for the internet browsing and only 8hrs of videos playback. Though this is better but users probably be expecting more than this. The good thing about non-removable batteries is that they provide longer life than removable batteries and get lesser chances of being leaked. While playing high graphics games on this device, the battery may disappoint user and will vanish quickly. The battery should have been removable in order to be replaced by some better one. The RAM is 1/2GB depending of the device specifications and it is not bad while the internal storage is 16/32GB which is equally not bad but no extension has been provided to it.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Good design
· Perfect grip
· Latest OS
· Fast processor
· Good RAM
· Good cameras
For Cons:
· Poor battery
· Copied design
Verdict
Though it is common to copy some features of design from one manufacturer to another but this device is the complete copy in design of that of iPhone 6. This much copy must have been avoided by the company. Rest of the features though is interesting in Lenovo S90 Sisley but few considerations should have been given by the company especially on the battery. The battery is not at all impressive and this may compel the user to move for other better options. Though iPhone 6 is expensive and this is a cheaper design copy of that but one would definitely not compromise on the performance and specifications of the device for the price they are paying.
