HTC Desire 400

HTC Desire 400 Mobile Price in India
This device comes in attractive and trendy colors with good design. This has originally been launched with low price and the price of the device has been lowered much ever since it has been launched. The best-selling point of HTC Desire 400 is the dual SIM feature besides managing it’s withstand time perfectly, this can be a good choice for all those mobile users who are in search of a cheap device with marvelous specification so here is the one. It is comparable to any other good device available in the market and can give them good competition at any level.
Features and Specifications
HTC Desire 400 has 4.3-inch screen having Super LCD2 capacitive touch-screen technology carrying 16M colors and multi-touch capacity. The OS here is Android Jelly Beans and the processor is 1GHz dual-core. The RAM is 1GB and the internal storage is 4GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB using the microSD card. The back camera is 5MP with led flash and autofocus, geo tagging, face detection and touch focus features while it also records videos at 720p resolution. The front camera is absent here. The battery is 1800mAh Li-ion while the connectivity options are GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, microUSB, Bluetooth, GPS and A-GPS.
Design and Quality
The device is quite light weighing 119g. The design of the device seems a mix of Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone. Since it is one of the slimmest handset thus the gripping is little hard here. The hardware provided to it is quite decent. This smartphone doesn’t support any latest game but it does support all latest business or other lifestyle related apps. The display of the device comes with a surprise as compared to the price of the device. The speakers of the device are very good providing robust sound and the screen provides perfect bright and clear picture density. This makes the device a good choice for watching movies.
OS and Tech
The OS here is Android Jelly Beans which is tough an old OS but the company also offers its own UI over the top of the OS which is HTC Sense UI thus giving the illusion of having latest OS installed in it. The performance lags though have been observed at times but this is negligible considering the price of the device along with other good features.
Camera and Multimedia
HTC Desire 400 is very weak in camera department. The 5MP back camera is not exciting enough to produce acceptable quality pictures and the videos though the quality of videos is better than the pictures. Under low light, the performance of the camera is a total failure while even under proper light; the performance is not worth noticing. The videos recorded by it look good on the device screen though not very appreciating. The front camera is totally absent in this device so that means the back camera is not more than a selfie camera but is acting here as the primary camera for recording videos and taking snaps.
Battery and Memory
1800 mAh battery is quite decent here and thus giving much power to the device to provide 12hrs of talk time and 435hrs of standby time. Under moderate use, this much battery is quite enough to go for whole day while under heavy use, a recharge once in a day would be required but since this handset doesn’t support any latest game, so the battery is capable enough to last for whole day. The RAM is 1GB which is decent enough for mid-range device like this one. The internal storage though is 4GB which is however less but the expansion to it is quite enough to accommodate large number of apps.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Good design
· Good processor
· Good RAM
· Expandable memory
· Decent battery
· Affordable device
For Cons:
· Poor camera
· Old OS
Verdict
This handset is the perfect choice for almost every category of user especially for those who are looking for an affordable handset having good features. Since the price of this device is also getting lesser so this is the highest recommended handset for everyone but for those who prefer photography features in their smartphones, this one is not recommended for them. The design of the phone is not new and has been developed by taking design from different smartphone and mixing them to produce HTC Desire 400. Being dual SIM is the most attractive part of this handset. Looking at the specifications and price, there are other handsets already available in market that are affordable and have much better specifications than HTC Desire 400 like Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which has 1.5GB RAM besides being dual SIM and an affordable handset. The design of the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is also the peculiar signature of Samsung and thus is not copied.
