Features & Specifications:

The Celkon XION S CT695 is a feature packed phone with a 6.95 inch screen, 1GB RAM, 1.3GHz processor and 2500mAh battery. Celkon has tried its best to pick every single feature and cram it in to a low priced model. They did miss out on some important features like an IPS LCD screen but we would like to give them some credit for trying. Let us take a closer look at the rest of its features.

Design and Quality:

The device has the screen size of 6.95 inches which is quite large and promises a comfortable video and movie watching experience. The resolution is 600 x 1024 pixels and the pixel density is 171ppi. Multitouch is supported which is great. The screen is capacitive touch screen type but not IPS LCD which makes watching from tricky angles not too pleasant an experience. The phone weighs 250 grams and the dimensions are 180 x 104 x 8.6 mm. The phone is pretty good to look at and the design is good. This is one of the few phones which are available in an extremely low price with a large screen. Other devices are BLU Studio 7.0 and HP 7 VoiceTab (yes it is a tablet).

OS and Tech:

The device sports the Android 4.4.2 Operating System called KitKat. The chipset is Mediatek MT8312. The CPU is dual core and runs at 1.2 gigahertz. The graphics processing unit is Mali 400. The KitKat operating system boasts of being the smoothest operating system till date. The phone has Wi-Fi, version 4.0 Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio. The phone also supports java via the JAVAMIDB emulator.

Camera and Multimedia:

The phone has a 5 megapixel primary camera which supports video recording. No prizes for guessing that the picture quality is not that great and leaves a lot to be desired. The secondary camera is 0.3 MP which is quite disappointing and naturally not too great for video calls. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack like any other phone currently in the market. Video formats supported are MP4 and H.264. Audio formats supported are MP3, WAV and eAAC.

Battery and Memory:

The phone comes with a 2500mAh battery capacity which is quite good for ordinary devices but not enough for a device with a 7 inch screen. The phone has a RAM of 1GB and internal storage of 8GB.The device has an expandable storage up to 32GB of type micro SD type. Storage capacity is pretty good and with the screen size promises a good movie watching experience.

·         Battery could have been better for a phone with an almost 7 inch screen (2500 mAh)

·         Primary camera only 5 MP

Verdict:

This phone is perfect for people who use their phones purely for social media, videos, movies etc. It might not be the best choice if you are looking for something handy and sturdy. We are not exactly sure why this device falls in the smart phones category. It seems more like a tablet mainly due to its bulky size. Other phones with similar features is Lenovo S880.
