Karbonn Titanium S6 Mobile Price in India
Karbonn Mobiles has been making interesting mobile phones since 2009 and this smart phone is the successor to the Karbonn Sparkle V. The phone is somewhat a spitting image of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and if just glanced over one might confuse this phone with the Galaxy S4 until one focuses on the details like the wider body and the bigger screen. The phone is just an entry level smartphone with almost a perfect value for money deal.
Features and Specifications:
The Karbonn Titanium S6 is loaded with a 5.0 inch ips multi touch sensitive touch screen with a 540x960 pixels resolution. The phone measures 7.6mm in thickness and weights in about 104 grams just a bit longer and a bit wider than the Samsung Galaxy S4, the phone from which this phones design was influenced. The phone has a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and 1 GB ram and 8 GB ROM which for the price range is quite brilliant. The 8 mega-pixels primary camera provides nice image quality and the secondary camera is a humble 2 mega pixels sensor which provide good photos though noise is seen when the light intensity drops. The camera application is the standard Google camera app so thus as a result it doesn’t hold many features. The phone has a 2000 mAh battery which provides upto 5 hours of talk time. The phone also has the latest android “KitKat”.
Design and Quality:
The Karbonn Titanium S6 has a polycarbonate finishing on the back, which makes it quite slippery to hold in one hand. The back case has a very fine finishing though the camera on the back forms a slight bump which may be prone to scrapes and scratches while sticking to the back side the phone has a flash with its camera, a speaker grill at the bottom and the Karbonn logo right below the led flash. It must be said that the phone feels pretty solid to use and it can be used in one hand quite easily and the thumb can easily reach all the corners of the screen when the phones held in one hand. The volume rocker is on the right side while the power button on the left and the audio jack is housed at the top of the phone along with charging port. The handset is available in 3 colors black, grey and white. The phones rounded at the sides and the corners and these tiny details set this phone apart from the Galaxy S4.
OS and Tech:
The phone is stuffed with latest Android V 4.4.2 KitKat, which therefore, results in excellent multitasking even though with a small ram compared to other phones it has no lag in its operations. The OS also is pretty much more than functional and is quite responsive.
Camera and Multi-Media:
The phone comes loaded with an 8 megapixels primary and a two megapixels secondary camera. The primary camera provides has a lot of lag while focusing and image quality is somewhat “so so” with a bit of hue whereas the secondary camera also provides “ok” photos but when the light intensity decreases there are traces of noise, sadly the phone lacks full HD video recording capabilities. The display of the screen is quite good as discussed previously and gives a very pleasant viewing experience even though there’s a bit of over saturation while viewing videos but it will do just fine.
Battery and Memory:
Karbonn Titanium comes loaded with a 2000 mAh battery which provides up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. But in daily routine the phone is able almost the same usage time as Google Nexus 5 under moderate use so the battery life of the phone is quite admirable. The phone has a 1 GB RAM and the internal memory of 8 GB which is also backed up by a card slot which can hold a card of up to 32 GB.
Pros & Cons:
Pros:
· Big screen
· Solid feel
· Nice battery timing
· Good sound quality
Cons
· Looks like a Galaxy S4 rip off.
· No HD video recording or full HD display
· Average camera quality
The verdict:
All in all the Karbonn Titanium S6 is a perfect for its price range it’s just an entry level smartphone and it thus is an honest phone with all the important shenanigans one could want from there smartphone. The best thing about this phone is that it knows that it’s just an entry level phone and is thus built with a minimalist approach and not compromised a lot over price and performance tussle. The phone looks like a Galaxy S4 and almost provides the same performance at just a reasonable price.
