Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 Mobile Price in India
Some devices are especially made to be tried once. With the invention of Samsung Galaxy Beam 2, this time the company has made a stunning invention which requires a must try. This is the sequel of the Galaxy Beam having an updated version of Android OS having unique color and build quality of Samsung Galaxy S3. There have been many improvements in this handset not only in its build material but also in its screen quality and thus an enhanced video quality experience can be observed by the users using this handset. This is in true sense a marvelous invention.
Features and Specifications
This phone weighs 165g which is quite balanced weight for any device. It holds micro SIM while the screen is of 4.6-inch using TFT Capacitive Touchscreen Technology and 16M colors along with offering multi-touch facility. The OS in this case is Android v4.4.2 Jelly Beans and 1.2GHz quad-core processor is being utilized in it. It has 1GB RAM and an extended memory up to 32GB with using microSD card. Back camera in this handset is 5MP with an LED light and many special features like touch focus, autofocus, face/smile detection, and geo tagging. The secondary camera in this case is quite basic one. Battery here got improved as well from 2000mAh as in case of Galaxy Beam to 2600mAh and good connectivity options are available like A-GPS, microUSB, Bluetooth, GPS and GSM.
Design and Quality
This is a projector smartphone with slightly lighter in weight than Galaxy Beam and also longer than that one. It has also successfully ditched the odd color combinations as found in Galaxy S3 like black-yellow combination which also gives illusion of good quality of the material used for its construction though the back of the phone is all plastic but it doesn’t look cheap now. This is another mid-range smartphone. The front of the device has the 4.66inch screen having front camera, sensors and speakers at the top of the screen and two touchscreen buttons with one physical button in the lower center at the bottom of the screen. The right hand side of the device carries the power button and volume rocker along with the microSD card slot. The 3.5mm head set jack is located towards left side towards top. The back of the phone carries the central back camera with an LED light below it and the company logo in the center of the back while a primary speaker at the lower back towards right side. The screen is of good quality and its viewing angles are also very nice.
OS and Tech
OS is little old here as it has the Android v4.4.2 Jelly Beans. This should have been upgraded to KitKat now though we see little enhancement from its previous cousin Galaxy Beam. The performance of the device is not much affected by the older version of the OS and it appears to provide smooth performance and multitasking which is quite good.
Camera and Multimedia
5MP rear camera is not extraordinary though it produces acceptable quality images. Under normal light, the performance of the camera is fine and the images produced carry good color concentration but under low light, this camera is a total disappointment. There are many features attached with the camera which try to enhance the quality of the images and one can see some change by using different modes but there is not much difference. The video quality is better than the images. The front camera is very basic one here and is only used for little selfies with compromised quality.
Battery and Memory
2600mAh battery is quite huge for this device where the screen is not very large. So this battery can serve as energy booster for the phone and can keep the device running for more than a day. The 1GB RAM is not bad for mid-range devices and the extended memory is also impressive which is also becoming common in almost most of the mid-range devices. So in terms of memory and battery, this handset can be a good option for those who really care for these two features than photography or other things.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Projector device
· Good build quality
· Decent performance
· Good battery
For Cons:
· Average camera
· Old OS
Verdict
Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 is no doubt an enhanced version of Galaxy Beam carrying different eye catching features at quite decent price. It is better in performance than its elder brother Galaxy Beam in terms of good design, nice and decent color for the handset along with good projection capabilities. The photography department is not much interesting in this case but rest all of the features are quite handsome. The company should have provided KitKat version of OS here so that people would have attracted more towards it.
