Micromax Bolt AD3520 Mobile Price in India
Using your phone as a music player and multimedia consumption device is not unusual. Micromax seems to agree, and so they are attempting to capture the market of media-heavy smartphone. The Micromax Bolt AD3520 is their answer to the growing trend of watching movies, streaming videos, and listening to music on your device. Micromax has been a long-time competitor in the smartphone game, and their products are quite notable. They manufacture phones with cheap price tags and robust functionality to get a major competitive edge in the market.
Features and Specifications
The Micromax Bolt AD3520 has support for dual SIM (GSM + GSM). The screen of this phone is 3.5 inches, and has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, which can display 16.7 million colors. This display is quite poor; the smaller than usual size is one disadvantage, but the resolution is also quite bad in contrast to other newer phones. If you want a bigger screen with similar aesthetics, take a look at the Micromax Canvas Power A96; otherwise, the Lenovo A269i has a similar screen with a different design. The touchscreen is capacitive, but does not have any Gorilla Glass protection. Android 4.4.2 KitKat is what ships with this phone, giving you some of the latest Android functionality. The Bolt AD3520 is powered by a 1.3GHz Dual Core, with a MediaTek MT6571 chipset. There is 512MB of RAM, which is decent enough to provide you with a good experience. With 4GB of internal storage, you can fit quite a few songs, pictures, and a few videos onto this. You will be able to expand this to 32GB with microSD. The main camera is a lackluster 2MP while the secondary camera is a VGA. It comes with SD video recording, but again, at 2MP, it’s not going to look too great. The battery is 1500mAh, which isn’t very powerful. The connectivity features are good, with USB connectivity, WIFI, and Bluetooth compatibility.
Design and Quality
The design is quite unique and very specific to what this phone is trying to accomplish. There are 6 touch-sensitive buttons on the bottom of this phone. Three of them are for navigational purposes, and then the other three are strictly for music control. You can go back a song, pause/play, and skip a song with the off-screen buttons. The handset comes in red, white, blue and black colors, which allows for some customization. A great thing about the design is the dual front-facing speakers. These allow the phone to blast very crisp quality music extremely loud.
OS and Tech
With Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the Micromax Bolt AD3520 is able to take advantage of some newer Android functionality. This includes quicker and snappier response times, lower stress on the CPU from the operating system itself, the Google Play store, and everything else Android usually has to offer.
Camera and Multimedia
With the primary camera being 2MP and the secondary camera not being any better, this phone is quite lackluster when it comes to photo and camera quality. Although you will be able to take photos, and they might be decent enough to keep around and share with your friends, the camera is nothing to boast about. You will also be able to take standard detail video recordings.
Battery and Memory
The battery has quite a low capacity, coming in at a mere 1500 mAh. This will more than likely be enough to keep your phone charged for a day under ordinary use, but probably not much more than that. The 512MB of ram will suffice, although it’s nothing fantastic. The 4GB of storage is decent, and with microSD expandability, the storage situation is just fine.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Fantastic dual speakers
· Dual SIM support
· MicroSD card support
· Good Connectivity
· Fantastic Price
For Cons:
· The screen is quite poor
· Battery has low capacity
· Camera is substandard
Verdict
The intent of this phone is quite obviously to introduce something onto the market which can play your music and sounds with great ease and quality. In that respect, the phone is great. The speakers are loud, and sound great. As far as the rest of the phone is concerned, it’s nothing special. If you want a low-cost phone which you will be using to play music off, this could be a good purchase.
