Lava Iris Fuel 20
Lava Iris Fuel 20 Mobile Price in India
The Lava Iris Fuel 20, as the name tells, is well-known for its great battery capacity in a very reasonable price. The battery is huge i.e. 4400mAh which gives a great talk time so you can remain connected to your friends and family for as long as you want to. It is a budget phone that comes in two different colors – White and Metallic grey. The paramount feature of this phone is that it is the only phone with this amount of battery in this range (below Rs.6000).
Features and Specifications:
The most ravishing feature that the Lava Iris Fuel 20 brings to us is its extraordinary battery capacity i.e. 4400mAh; which is so far said to be the biggest battery in the category of budget smartphone. It has a big display of 5 inch FWVGA and the resolution is 854x480 pixels. So 5 inch screen is a good and expedient size for phablet. The operating system that it runs on is out-of-the-box Android v4.4 KitKat and is powered by a powerful processor of 1.3 GHz Dual Core and the RAM is 512 MB. The inbuilt storage in the phone is 4 GB with a further allowable expansion of 32 GB with a microSD card. The Lava Iris Fuel 20 sports twin cameras, the rear end camera is 5 MP and the front end camera is VGA.
Design and Quality:
The design is much like android range phones and is not extraordinarily fancy or anything. However the phone feels pretty sturdy when carried. Two buttons reside on its right side; the volume rockers button and the power button. Below the screen are three touch navigation keys. Housing a 5 inch display the Lava Iris Fuel 20 offers a pixel density of 220 pixels per inch. The display is optimum for a phone of this price range.
OS and Tech:
Supporting the functionality of Dual SIM, the operating system that the device runs on is out of the box Android v4.4 KitKat. The processing speed of the smartphone gets quite powerful with the 1.3 GHz Dual Core processor. This size of the RAM is disappointingly low; 512 MB which does not allow for easy multitasking and the phone slows down and may eventually hang when under heavy use. A disappointing fact about this phone is that it only supports 2G connectivity and when compared to phones of other companies they are offering 4G services in such budget price range. The options of connectivity being offered by the Lava Iris Fuel 20 are Bluetooth 4.0, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and microUSB 2.0 along with the Dual SIM support.
Camera and Multimedia:
The Lava Iris Fuel 20 is armed with cameras at the front and back sides. The rear end camera is 5 megapixels and supports an LED flash. The front camera is for capturing selfies but the quality of the camera is very low, VGA, hence it cannot be relied on to take good selfies especially when the background is dull. It shoots 720p videos.
Battery and Memory:
The best feature of the phone is its huge battery of 4400 mAh, it has quite a solid battery backup. This fact might not be as appealing to everyone but it fascinates many users who look for a smartphone with a good battery life. An issue is the RAM size which is near to the ground; 512 MB. The internal storage capacity offered is 4 GB with an allowable expansion up to about 32 GB when using a microSD card.
Pros and Cons:
For Pros:
· Durable
· Inexpensive
· Realistic colors
For Cons:
· Poor camera result
· Low screen resolution
· Low RAM
Verdict:
The overall features of the phone are good. It is armed with the latest operating system the Android v4.4 KitKat, and a powerful processor of 1.3 GHz Dual Core gives the phone a good overall performance. It is a budget phone giving an astonishing battery life at such a reasonable price. But this price puts it against the Celkon Millennia ME Q54 which is a key competitor of this phone. The camera results are below satisfactory and the screen resolution is low. But the rest of the features are pretty good for a phone at this price.
