This amazingly simple yet elegant smartphone offers a fantastic visual aesthetic, and middle of the line specs for a very competitive price. Features and Specifications
The Q600 offers compatibility with dual SIM cards (GSM + GSM). The screen is quite nice; it’s an IPS panel which is 4.5 inches in size with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Although it might seem lackluster, it offers an OK experience. This phone is running Android 4.4 KitKat. The newer OS will give you better performance, and of course, some of the latest software functionality. The processor is quite a standard 1.3 GHz Quad Core that we see in many budget smartphones. While it’s decent, you will not be getting any kind of beastly performance from this processor. There is 4GB of integrated memory, which should suffice unless you have a vast multimedia collection. If this is the case, you can always expand the memory by 32GB via microSD card. There is 512MB of RAM, which might not be enough for a power user. The 1800mAh battery is good, and will typically last a day of use. The connectivity options are nice, with 3G, 2G, WIFI, USB connectivity, GPS, and Bluetooth support. There are some additional features on this phone such as games, alarm clock, calendar, calculator, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and an accelerometer. The specs are quite similar to the Intex Aqua 3X.
Design and Quality
The design is very captivating. The shape looks rectangular, but there are bulges on either side of the phone, which seem to round it off a little bit, and give it a very unique feel. The rest of the phone is all black; very simple, but also very stylish. There are 3 off screen touch-sensitive buttons at the bottom. The handset comes in both white and black colors. Overall, the design is probably one of the biggest selling points of this phone. It’s very sleek and stylish with some different color options as well.
OS and Tech
The newer Android 4.4 KitKat is included on this phone. This will allow the Q600 Club to consume fewer resources than prior versions of Android would, and thus improve performance. The 1.3GHz Quad Core CPU is standard in phones of this price point, and is decent. You won’t be getting blazing fast speeds on heavy applications, but this processor will do the job just fine.
Camera and Multimedia
The primary camera is 5MP, while the secondary camera is a mere VGA. You can expect to take some pretty good pictures with the primary camera, and sub-standard photos with the secondary one. On the software side of things, this camera supports standard detail video recording. When it comes to multimedia, a music player, video player, and FM radio are included with this phone.
Battery and Memory
The battery is 1800mAh, which should last you a good day of use unless you are a heavy power-user. Unfortunately, there have been no battery benchmarks of this phone, so it is unknown how long it will last in the real-world. The internal storage is a decent 4GB. Of course, SD card expandability is always an option up to 32GB.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Fantastic design
· Good storage with microSD expandability
· Very good price
· Great connectivity features
· Good camera
· Dual SIM support
For Cons:
· Screen isn’t great
Verdict
Overall, this phone is absolutely fantastic. However, don’t expect blazing fast speeds or an amazingly vibrant and high detailed screen.Everything aside from the processing power and screen is pretty nice for a budget smartphone. If you want a low cost mobile solution which has a fantastic design and decent features/specs, this could be the phone for you. If you like this phone, but you are looking for something a bit more powerful, check out the XOLO Q700 Club.
