The device is going to be launched soon most probably in this month. The weight of the handset is quite less as it weighs 126.5g supporting Dual SIMs. The screen is 5.3-inch which is large enough to make it a phablet and has been made out of Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen technology with the support of 16M colors reproduction. The screen also provides multi-touch support up to 5 fingers. The screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The OS here is Android v5.0 Lollipop while the processor is also powerful i.e. 1.7GHz Octa-core. 2GB RAM makes this device superior as well while the internal storage here is 16GB which cannot be further expanded. The rear camera is 13MP supported by an LED light and many features like geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, HDR, autofocus and panorama. This camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p while the front camera is 8MP which though works for the selfies but can record videos at 30fps. The battery life is also nice in this handset provided by 2750mAh Li-ion which non-removable though. Many connectivity options are provided to it such as Bluetooth, A-GPS, microUSB, GPS, Wi-Fi and GSM.

Design and Quality

The thickness of this device is 5.5mm which makes it still quite thin as the basic theme of the company which was seen in Gionee Elife S5.5.Gionee’s phones are always very beautifully made and the similar beauty can be found in Elife S7. There is a very precise and delicate track that runs all around the corners. This makes the characteristics of the phone more highlighted along with providing smooth grip as well as making it very light. The body is made up of aluminum alloy which is sandwiched between the two Gorilla Glass 3. Though it is highly prone to fingerprints but even then it looks very elegant. At the back side, the 13MP camera has been placed in a raised case as it is found in Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6.

The latest OS has been packed in this smartphone which makes this phone little superior over its competitors. This makes the performance very smooth and the multitasking very fast. The RAM and the processor support also make the device running very fast.

Camera and Multimedia

The camera department has been quite enhanced here with the most advanced features added in to it like latest low-light setting to capture good images under low light. Though other ancestors of Elife have suffered from the slow speed of shutter but here the shutter is fastest. This makes a huge improvement from the company in this particular department. The images are of excellent quality both under good and low light. The videos recorded by both the front and back cameras are also of decent quality. The front camera works very well for the video recording and the selfies.

Battery and Memory

Battery life is interesting capable enough to provide at least two days long use of the phone. The screen also has the energy saving mode which also helps in preserving battery life. The only drawback is that the battery is non-removable which may little annoy the users. The RAM is marvelous here as 2GB of RAM is generally provided to upgraded version of devices so this clearly means that this handset is not a mid-range device rather it would work lighter high end device. The internal 16GB storage though is enough for any user but since this is non-expandable further so this would disappoint users a lot.

Gionee Elife S7 is an extraordinary device as it seems but the real performance test would only be conducted once it gets released in markets. Apparently there is no flaw observed in the overall functionality, performance and the specifications observed so it is hoped that this handset would run at quick pace to gain success and users would be easily attracted towards it especially due to its sleek design and being light weight.
