Features and Specification:

The phone is suited with 5inch FWVGA IPS display having resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It has dual SIM features supporting both 2G and 3G networks. The device is available in two colorsthese are black and white. It has 1.3 quad core Mediatek MT 6582 M processor with 240 MHz Mali 420 GPU. It contains 5 MP of primary camera and a secondary VGA camera. It also contains LED flash light. The device also contains many sensors like accelerometer and proximity sensors. It also contains Ambient light sensor. Xolo Q1001 consists of 4 GB internal memory and can be expanded to 32 GB using micro SD card. It also supports many connectivity features like 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, USB connectivity, GPS and Bluetooth.

Design and Quality:

The device has 143 x 73.2 x 9.5 mm dimensions which make the device pretty durable. As the device is available in two color variants, black and white, the front face color is similar to the back face color. The white color variant has white color front face while the black variant has the black colored front face. The front face contains the primary camera at the top right corner along with the sensors. On the left of the camera brand name Xolo is mentioned below the ear speaker grill. The three capacitive buttons are present at the bottom of the front face which are used as a menu button, home button and back button respectively. The back face contains the primary camera at the top of the phone and just below the camera the LED flash light is present. At the middle of the back panel the brand name is mentioned. The speaker grills are present at the bottom of the device. The volume rocket and the power buttons are present on the right side of the device.

OS and Tech:

The device contains android Kitkat version 4.4 which is synchronized by 1.3 quad core Mediatek MT 6582 M processor with 240 MHz Mali 420 GPU. The device contains 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage hence providing a fairly good platform for multitasking. Yet, Moto E 2^nd generation contains Android Lollipop version 5.0, which is a new operating system giving a better interface than Kitkat.

Camera and Multimedia:

Xolo Q1001 contains 5 MP of primary camera with LED flash light which could be used to click photographs at low light areas it also have 0.3 MP of secondary camera whereas Lenovo A 6000 has 8 MP of primary camera and also have 2 MP of secondary camera. The device contains many other camera features like Scene detection and tuning, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Face recognition feature, Panorama capture, Face beautification,Smile detection and Geo tagging. The device also support FM radio and 1080p playback. It also supports various audio and video extensions.

Battery and Memory:

The device has battery of size 2000 mAh Li-ion which is removable whereas Lenovo A6000 has a battery size of 2300 mAh and Moto E 2^nd generation has 2390 mAh which is non-removable. Xolo Q1001 has an impressive stand by time of around 634 hours on 2G usage and around 555 hours on 3G usage whereas Lenovo A6000 has a stand by time of 264 hours on 2G usage. Xolo Q1001 has inbuilt memory of 4 GB and can be expanded to 32 GB using micro SD card whereas Moto E 2^nd generation and Lenovo A6000 has the inbuilt memory of 8 GB. Xolo Q1001 has 512 MB of RAM which is very less as compared to Moto E 2^nd generation and Lenovo A6000.

Verdict:

Xolo Q1001 no doubt is a great phone at an affordable price but Moto E 2^nd generation and Lenovo A6000 can be tough competitors. But it has a remarkable battery backup which many android OS based phone fails to provide.
