Vivo Y28 Mobile Price in India
Over the last few years Vivo mobiles is one of those few smartphone manufacturers that have been gaining continuous recognition around the world for their innovative design and good quality for money. The company is renowned for its multimedia smartphone that not only give excellent video playback, but when it comes to camera quality, their smartphone outperform many of the big giants out there. The Vivo Y28 with an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 5 megapixels camera upfront is yet no exception from this tradition.
Features and Specifications:
The Vivo Y28 comes loaded with a 4.7 inch capacitive touchscreen, the screens resolution is 540x960 pixels and the PPI count is 216 pixels per inch. The display isn’t the best display out there in the market but it still is able to give some decent viewing angles and the picture is still pretty vivid in bright sun light. The camera is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and a 1 GB ram. The internal memory of the smartphone is 8 GB but the micro SD card slot can house a card up to a hefty 128 GB. The phone is also well equipped with good quality cameras which can also record video in full HD. The phone is available as only dual sim variant and doesn’t come with LTE so it isn’t the best deal when it comes to connectivity, especially when you consider the price range as the Micromax Yu Yureka costs much less than the Vivo Y28 but it does have LTE. The phone has all the basic options you can expect from any smartphone of this price, like Bluetooth, GPS, Radio and USB connectivity.
Design and Quality:
At just 9.8 mm the phone really does follow the Vivo’s tradition of slimness, the phone is encased in metallic finish body. Up front you find the 4.7 inch touch screen under the clear glass front, the screen covers 68.1% with the capacitive touch sensitive buttons right underneath it. Above the screen you see the earpiece that is bang in the middle with a couple of sensors to its left side and VIVO monogram to the right side of the sensors. The five megapixels front facing camera is located to the right side of the earpiece. To the left side of the phone we see the power button and the volume rocker under it the buttons do provide good feedback when used. The micro USB port is on the bottom side of the smartphone and the 3.5 mm audio jack is conveniently place on the top side of the phone. The back side of the phone is also good looking with the camera at the top center of the phone and led flash underneath it. The Vivo monogram is printed in landscape in the center of the phone whereas the speaker slits cover all the bottom side of the phone. All in all it is a very good looking phone and when you hold it in your hand it really does speak for itself, it not only looks good in ones hand but also feels good.
OS and Tech:
Vivo Y28 comes preloaded with android 4.4 Jellybean and other smartphones in this price range have now moved to KitKat and even Lollipop for some smartphone and Jellybean is soon going to be outdated. But the joy in this phone is that Vivo has put in a lot of effort to bring in their own UI, which they have named “Funtouch”. This UI is not user friendly but it provides many exquisite features like super screenshot, smart wake. This OS is also less memory consuming so multitasking on this phone is pretty swift and the UI is also pretty easy to use.
Camera and Multimedia:
The smartphone comes loaded with a respectable 8 megapixels primary camera with LED flash and upfront we have a 5 megapixels secondary camera. When it comes to camera quality Vivo mobiles really excel in this department. The picture quality is clear and vivid and features like autofocus and beauty mode make your pictures even more memorable. The camera can also record and play back full HD videos which then again being Vivo is pretty good. The loudspeaker at the back is good but when put down on a flat surface sound does tend to get a bit muffled.
Battery and Memory:
Vivo Y28 is powered by 2100 mAh battery which can provide up to 14 hours of talk time which is pretty good. Roughly translating this battery timing into average daily use the phone can go through your day just on a single charge but don’t expect it to run late in the night as well as the battery timing is good but not excellent.
Pros and Cons:
For Pros:
· Great looks
· 128 GB card storage
· Funtouch OS
For Cons:
· Android Jellybean which is outdated
· No full HD display
· No LTE
Verdict:
The phone is definitely worth spending your money it does perform well and looks good as well. For the price range you may be tempted to buy the Micromax YU Yureka which is pretty good as it costs less than this and gives almost exactly the same features but YU Yureka gets a beating when it comes to OS and usability.
