This 4G LTE supported smart phone is equipped with a 2.1 GHz + 1.5 GHz Octa Core processor which promises rock solid performance. This handset also comes with a Mali - T760 GPU and it is preloaded with Android v5 Lollipop. This beast has a 3 GB RAM which in my opinion will be more than enough for flawless performance. The smart phone comes with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants, but be aware that you do not have the ability to expand your storage memory any further after purchasing as it does not support microSD card or any other means of memory up gradation. The phone features a 5.1" Super AMOLED Quad HD capacitive touch screen which has the power and capacity to deliver stunning and lively pictures. The screen offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and supports multi-touch. Unlike Samsung Galaxy Note Edge this phone has a dual curved edge which looks quite amazing and boasts to be more feature rich. The curved edge screen feels and looks more natural than traditional screens. The phone has a 16 MP rear camera which has the ability to take awesome images even in low light. There is an LED flash present beside the camera to help in low light photography. The powerful rear camera has the ability to record UHD 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) movies at 30 fps which is just simply mind-blowing. The front camera is a CMOS 5 MP camera which also has the ability to record full HD movies and take stunning selfies. The phone is equipped with a non-removable 2600 mAh battery pack. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also offers advanced and more responsive security features like fingerprint scanner, and Samsung Pay to do hassle free online transactions through debit/ credit cards. Design and Quality

As stated by Samsung this handset's design is inspired by the craftsmanship of ancient glassworkers and metal artisans. This handset is a wonderful blend of metal and glass which makes Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge one of its kind. The phone features an aluminum alloy matte frame which is sandwiched inside layers of Corning Gorilla Glass 4, both on the front and rear to give ultimate protection to the set. The phone maintains the Samsung tradition and flaunts rounded edges which give it a sophisticated look. The side edges of the phone are a little bit squeezed which makes it look thinner than it actually is and gives it a bit of Sci-Fi look. The phone weighs only 132 gm so it is very easier to carry around and the dimensions are 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0 mm. Due to having a powerful camera the camera lens is a little bulge and it rests a little outward than the back cover, so you will have to be careful about dropping the phone. The phone comes with four color options to choose from - Emerald Green, Black, White and Gold Platinum. At the top of the phone the NANO SIM slot is present along with the IR blaster which allows the phone to be used as a smart remote control. The volume keys and screen lock key is placed ergonomically and they are a little springy. The phone has a central oval shaped home button which is also the fingerprint scanner, and beside it there are two touch buttons on either side. On the bottom of the phone there is a micro USB port, a headphone out, mic and speaker grill present. It was recently discovered that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge costs more than Apple iPhones to manufacture. So again you can be assured that you are getting what you are paying for.

OS and Tech

This smart phone features the updated Android OS which enables the hardware to deliver the maximum performance. The phone is very advanced technologically and offers advanced features like fingerprint scanner, barometer, heart rate monitor etc. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is also equipped with several sensors like RGB Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic, Proximity Sensor, Hall Sensor, Gyroscope etc which makes the phone feature rich. But sadly the phone is not built to be water resistant like Samsung Galaxy S5, which is quite shocking.

Camera and Multimedia

Both the front and rear camera of Galaxy S6 Edge are competent enough to take stunning pictures and record smooth HD videos both in light rich environment and low light environment. So a big kudos to Samsung development team for making this happen. The curve edge screen looks amazing and unlike Galaxy S6 it provides a cooler color temperature. The screen is optimized to show accurate colors. Along with this the edge screen provides many tickers which can be accessed by rubbing the upper right edge of the screen. Whenever your phone rings the side screen shows awesome visualization which can only be seen when the phone is kept upside down.

Battery and Memory

The phone is rigged with a 2600 mAh battery which may not be enough for this phone since it is stuffed with very powerful hardware. So you might have to charge the phone several times throughout the day to keep it alive. But rest assured the phone has in-built support for fast charging and wireless charging. The phone features a 3 GB RAM which is a quite good spec. But the phone comes with a non-expandable storage space which might be a downside for many buyers.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is quite like a mash-up of powerful features. Although it does not offer features like water resistivity, it can be easily said that it is better than its main competitor Apple iPhone 6 Plus. So in my opinion it will be one of the best sellers of 2015, although it is quite early to predict that.
