From the manufacture of LED televisions to the making of smartphone, Intex has turned out to be an above average player in the consumer electronics market. It has the largest consumer base in India. Although infamous for its other products Intex Technologies have produced some of the widely sold smartphone in use today. The smartphones manufactured by Intex come with many sophisticated specifications for considerably reasonable prices. The Aqua series of mobile phones produced by Intex is one of their most sold smartphones till date. Intex Aqua Xtreme V is their latest launch and is highly equipped with specifications of the kind one would love to explore. Based on an android KitKat operating system, this phone handles multitasking with ease. It has a powerful 1.7 GHz processor and is backed with a 2GB RAM for smoother operations.
Features and Specifications:
The Intex Aqua Xtreme V has a few cutting edge specifications that make it a killer smartphone in its range. It comes with a fully capacitive touch screen. It enables the phone users to surf the internet at 2G and 3G speeds. It has external loud speakers for a complete and louder music experience. This phone provides in-depth connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and tethering features. Though other brand mobile phones of this price range usually support most of the above mentioned features it is the A-GPS, HSDPA and HSUPA features that make it a sought after smartphone today. It comes with multiple sensors for real time application functionality. Gravity sensor, Proximity sensor, Light sensors are the built-in sensors of Intex Aqua Xtreme V. The phone weighs 119.5gm together with the battery. The smartphone comes with multiple preloaded apps such as Calculator, Calendar, Intex Zone and much more. This phone becomes the first choice for prospective buyers due to its multiple features and specifications that other phones generally lack.
Design and Quality:
To simply put, the Intex Aqua Xtreme V is extremely vibrant by its looks. The magnificent 5 inch display adds to the overall beauty of the smartphone. It runs on a high resolution of 1280x720 and supports over 16 million colour panels. Although a few other phones in this budget range support the above display settings, it is the screen protection that truly becomes the stand out factor in the judgement hour. The screen is protected by a Dragontrail Glass. This smartphone has a touch keypad below the screen with just three keys. The number of keys on the outer edges is minimised to add to the elegance of the smartphone.
OS and Tech:
The smartphone is an android OS based phone with the latest Android KitKat (v4.4) preinstalled in it. The smooth touch capabilities and high operating frequency is monitored by the extreme 1.7 GHz Octa-Core Processor which is the highlight of this phone. It is backed by a dashing 2GB of RAM. The Xtreme V has a 2000mAh battery power and supports a standby time of 180 hours. It has a longer battery life in comparison to other phones. It does not usually lag but with time it develops a bit of delay time in running apps. This problem is prevalent with almost every mobile phone including some of the bigger players manufactured by consumer electronic giants.
Camera and Multimedia:
It is powerful tool in clicking selfies on the go while sharing it instantly. To outrun its competitors Intex Aqua Xtreme V comes with a primary 13MP camera and a 5MP secondary camera. The more fascinating feature that is of interest is the LED flash that is fit right into it. The camera much like its counter parts has digital zoom and makes photo capture more fun an activity. With the dawn of the new trending photo editing apps and clicking photos for all seasons, this smartphone is an ultimatum and is already built with multiple photo editing features. Auto Focus, Continuous Shots, Face Beautify, and my favourite panoramic image capturing are what the phone offers. Recording videos without pixilation or blurring issues is now possible for a budget price with its excellent full HD quality video recording. It comes with inbuilt music and video players as well.
Battery and Memory:
A 2000 mAh battery that lasts for a day and a half on complete charging. Although the discharging or the battery life arguably depends on the usage. It sure has a theoretical standby time of 180 hours but is less practically. It has a large display and it is due to this reason that the battery drains out slightly quicker than the rest. It supports millions of colours and hundreds of apps that run in the background even in sleep mode causing the discharging of the phone more quickly. It has an inbuilt memory of 16GB and is further expandable up to a massive 32GB data capacity. Micro SD slot type to plug in a micro SD card is provided. With a RAM of 2GB and this big a memory storage space, installing and running applications really isn’t any menace to the user.
Pros and Cons:
For pros:
· Elegant Display
· Smooth gesture and touch functionality
· Large Memory
· Affordable price
· Excellent Camera
For cons:
· Bulky size
· Low Battery Life
Verdict:
This is probably one of the most exquisite mobile phones in the market and undoubtedly has a very powerful processor inside. It surely starts with a bang and is impressively faster compared to its competitors such as Karbonn Titanium Octane and Panasonic Eluga U which cost considerably more but don’t place much on the table. It comes with several colour variants of red, black and grey colours. The camera and memory storage is extremely good and thus making the Intex Aqua Xtreme V one of the significant mobile devices in the smartphone market today.
