Intex Aqua Y2 IPS Mobile Price in India
Intex is a company of smartphones and other gadgets based in India that manufacture low end to mid-range products and are more commonly known for their Aqua series of smartphones. They were initially into manufacturing computer accessories and computer tools until they launched quite a few promising smartphones in the market. Intex technologies also merged with Mozilla foundation to launch a few models of Firefox OS smartphones which were designed for the low budget target market. With products being researched and manufactured in India as well as China, Intex Aqua Y2 is a smartphone that has a set of convincingly good features to look at.
Features and Specifications
The Intex Aqua Y2 is a fully touch sensitive smartphone and incorporates a completely capacitive touch. The smartphone is designed to help users type and text with ease across its 4 inch screen and thus has a QWERTY keypad. It is a dual sim smartphone and supports GSM type sim cards only. The networks that are supported by this phone are 2G as well as 3G and come with high profile business features like pushmail and more. The Intex Aqua Y2 has a loudspeaker at its rear end and comes in many trendy coloured body panels to choose from. The allotted frequencies for GSM connectivity in this phone is 900/1800. The Y2 is a fast operating smartphone as it is backed by a massive RAM of 1.2 GHZ with a Quad Core processor. It is also guided by a 512 MB of RAM.
Design and Quality
The Aqua Y2 has a rather standard look and does not stand out in contrast to its competitors in terms of its looks. It is a bar phone with curved edges and looks a bit like the Lumia series of smartphones by Microsoft. The smartphone parts are designed and made by Intex Technologies which has its R&D centers in India as well China, so the build quality is rather alright as far as consistency of the body goes. It has speakers in the end with volume and power buttons on the sides. The smartphone has a flaunting 4inch WVGA IPS type screen and has a resolution of 480x800 pixels that may not sound much but fits right into it.
OS and Tech
It solely runs on the Android Kitkat (v4.4.2) operating system. The android OS makes all the touch and swipe gestures very smooth and enjoyable and avoid lag to a great extent. The phone operations are monitored by the superfast processor of 1.2 GHz. The processor is a quad core processor to provide extremely fast functionality. The phone is slightly low on RAM space though and has only 512 MB of RAM allocated to it. The phone comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity features that make it compelling for the buyers. With over quite a few sensors designed into it, G Sensor, Proximity sensor, accelerometer and ambient light sensor are prominently manufactured into it to provide reality like specifications.
Camera and Multimedia
The camera quality is a very good one, not necessarily with the best quality of lens but rather a good grade camera. It comes with an 8MP rear camera. So picture taking isn’t a problem anymore. The phone also has a 2MP front camera to provide for the selfies. Still though the 8MP and the 2MP said the photo quality will not be nearly as good as an 8MP and a 2MP camera of a high end smartphone produced by Microsoft, Samsung or iOS. But to make it as competitive as possible it comes with LED flash to rule out dim light and poorly lit images along with Auto Focus features. It also has a complete video recording functionality designed into it.
Battery and Memory
The smartphone is said to last for upto 11 hours during talk time and perhaps all the way through 350 hours of standby time. Well, the long lasting battery is not questionable as it is loaded with a 1400 mAh battery to support all its multitasking functions and to help al the app runs faster than ever with its android OS on the go. To store all the data and the several forms of media such as music, images and videos, the Intex Aqua Y2 has an internal memory of 4GB and is expandable upto a giant 64 GB.
Pros and Cons

· Low on RAM
· Low pixel front camera
Verdict
The Micromax Canvas Engage A091 and the Lava Iris 404 Flair are the two phones in the same price range and have competent features as the Intex Aqua Y2. These smartphone have not been as successful as the Y2 since the Intex brand of smartphones have been proven to produce reliable products. The smartphone has a good set of features such as its 8MP rear camera and its 1.2 GHz of quad core processor. The phone also has a beautiful operating system being used globally. The smartphone may not be the best deal in the market but it certainly is a good smartphone for the low priced smartphone range.
