Karbonn Titanium S3 Plus Mobile Price List in India

Karbonn mobiles are evolving continuously since April 2009, when they entered the world of smartphones. Karbonn focuses on the value for money principle. This is the reason it is the #3 smartphone brand in India. Karbonn has launched over 65 smartphones till then. The one which we will be analyzing is the Karbonn Titanium S3 Plus.

Features and Specifications:

The Karbonn Titanium S3 Plus is a dual SIM device supporting 2G and 3G networks with a capacitive touchscreen. This device is powered by the KitKat version of Android and a 1.3 GHz processor. The rear camera works at 8MP with LED flash.

Design and Quality:

The gadget has dimensions of 5 inch (145 x 72.6 x 9.3 mm) with a QHD IPS touchscreen display. The display is of 960 x 540 pixels and 16M colors. Again, the display is not so good. It could have been improved to a HD resolution to complement the bid screen size. The design of the mobile is a conventional bar design. It is designed like any other mobile with the rear camera placed on the back panel at the center, the memory card slot on the side panel and the speaker at the bottom.

OS and Tech:

Any mobile can prove its worth only when its driving force that is the operating system and the processor are up to date. Karbonn Titanium S3 Plus comes with the Android v4.0 KitKat and a processor of 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor. This average processor is powered by a weak 512 MB RAM. The RAM should definitely be more upgraded to at least 1 GB as RAM this small proves very inadequate for the multi-tasking any user would expect. Such a small RAM provides very slow speed to the device and in today’s fast world no one would ever like his device to lack behind in any feature.

Camera and Multimedia:

Now coming to the camera strength, this device has 8 MP camera. It also has features like LED flash, Digital Zoom, Auto focus. The LED flash assists you well while taking pictures in night mode. The resolution of the camera is 3264 x 2448 pixels giving you a better quality video recording as well. This mobile wins hands down in this category. The front camera of this device is 2 MP and allows a decent video calling experience. It supports all audio and video formats like all other devices nowadays.   

Battery and Memory:

Well, the other important features are the battery life and the storage space. This device has a Li-ion, 1800 mAh battery with a talk time of 300 mins and a stand by time of 135 hours. So, the Karbonn device proves better here as well. The storage space is 4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB. Though, the battery is slightly better than others in the market, internal memory is on the lower side. 4GB is just too small to store your favorite songs, videos or the large number of applications available.

Pros and Cons:

PROS:

1.       Average Battery life of 300 mins.

2.       Good picture quality with 8MP camera.

3.       Reasonably placed money wise.

CONS:

1.       Poor RAM leading to poor speed.

2.       Weak processor leading to frequent hang up.

3.       Less internal memory.

VERDICT:

Karbonn Titanium S3 Plus is a dual SIM device with 8MP rear camera and Android version v4.0 (KitKat). This is the only good thing in this mobile. The rest features need to be improved upon. The processor of 1.3 GHz doesn’t prove sufficient for multi-tasking leading to frequent hang ups. Moreover, the RAM is of just 512 MB leading to a slow speed of the device. Any user would never like his device to be slow and also have a very less internal memory of just 4 GB. The battery too is not very impressive. The battery proves just average with the talk time of just 300 minutes. You have to carry a charger o you whenever travelling.
