Wiio WI3
Wiio WI3 Mobile Price in India
Wiio is a French based mobile phone manufacturer and it is fairly new to the world of smartphones, but it has been dealing with electronics and marketing for quite a while in India. The company’s main aim is to bring a quality smartphones to every person, with their practical approach and reasonable pricing. The Wiio W13 is yet a sample of how this company is aiming to bring out affordable smartphones out in the market. The phone comes includes an 8 megapixel camera, 1 GB ram and 1.3 GHz quad core processor.
Features and Specifications:
The Wiio WI3 comes loaded with a rather sizeable 5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen and has a resolution of 960x540 pixels. The smartphone has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The ROM of this particular mobile is 8GB and it can be expanded by up to 32 GB with the aid of the microSD card slot. The phone has a good primary camera at 8 megapixel and at 2 megapixels it has a good secondary camera for the class. The Wiio WI3 has dual sim capabilities and can run on 2G and 3G networks. Further connectivity options include WIFI, Bluetooth and micro USB. The battery of this smartphone is also pretty strong at 4000 mAh, it promises a very good battery backup.
Design and Quality:
From the front side the Wiio WI3 has a rather generic android look thanks to the stock android soft keys under the 5inch screen. Above the screen we have the earpiece slit along with a couple of sensors and the secondary camera towards the top right corner of the phone. Onto to the sides the bottom side and the left side have been left empty and the power button sits upon the right edge of the device along with the volume rocker. The top side of the device houses the microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The sides of the phone are pretty shiny and fit the back cover of the phone pretty well. The back side looks rather good despite the plastic back cover. The camera lens looks pretty big and can be found on the top side of the back along with the LED flash to its right side and the Wiio monogram just below it. The rest of the back side is rather empty and only the loud speaker grill can be spotted towards the lower back side.
OS and Tech:
The Wiio WI3 is powered by android V4.4 KitKat, it is basically a stock UI and very little customizations have been made to the UI. But the lack of customizations is a good thing as it makes the device handier and a bit more responsive as we all know that KitKat is not as memory consuming as its predecessors. Even though this isn’t the latest version of Android, it seems to run fine on this device. Wiio hasn’t released any information on when the V5.0 update will be available for the WI3.
Camera and Multimedia:
The Wiio WI3 comes loaded with an 8 megapixels primary camera at the back and it is accompanied by a LED flash to aid low light photography. Upfront we have a 2 megapixels secondary camera, though it is unable to give the best photograph quality but it seems to do the job just fine. On the other hand screen resolution is on a downside especially considering the sizeable 5inch screen therefore the resolution is a bit a disappointing.
Battery and Memory:
The smartphone comes loaded with a 4000 mAh battery, it is one of the best battery for the class. It gives of up to around one and half day of normal usage on a single charge. On the other hand the RAM of this device is 1 GB and an 8 GB ROM is available at ones disposal for apps and data. But if you believe that this isn’t enough, you do have the option of expanding the memory by upto 32 GB through inserting a microSD card in the given slot.
Pros and Cons:
For Pros:
• Sizeable screen.
• Good battery life.
• Good cameras
For Cons:
• Low screen resolution.
• Average design and quality.
• Older version of Android.
Verdict:
The Wiio WI3 promises to be a very tactile device, it does aim to provide a better experience from its competitors in the same price range. For instance the Moto E 2nd Gen costs more or less the same as this device but if you compare the specifications and features the Wiio WI3 sends the Moto a run for its features. So the Wiio WI3 is definitely worth a shot and wins big points in our review.
