iBall Andi 4P ClassX Mobile Price in India
iBall has recently come out with a new phone in their Andi line dubbed the iBall Andi 4P ClassicX. They claim that the phone will offer the user an immersive experience with its 1.3GHz A7 Quadcore processor. Seeing as there are not many phones boasting a dualcore processor along with 1GB RAM under the Rs. 4000 price point we can honestly say that iBall's new phone has a good chance of carving out a huge chunk of the budget Smartphone market. Add to the list a 4inch IPS display, 5MP camera and other features then it's no wonder iBall hopes this phone goes the distance.
Features and Specifications
The phone utilizes a 4 inch IPS WVGA display capable of a resolution of 480 x 800 that is not HD sadly but manages to deliver 16 million colors at least. The battery is a meager 1400mAh which does not bode well for the phone. Powered by a 1.3Ghz A7 dualcore processor the phone aims to deliver fast performance especially when aided by the 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal memory which can be increased with a MicroSD card. The phone also comes with dual sim features (both 2G and 3G) making it very handy for those who use more than one sim in their daily lives.
Design and Quality
The Andi 4P ClassicX uses a similar design to the famous iPhone. One look is all that is needed see the similarity however the bezels are larger than found on the iPhones. Below the screen are the three capacitive touch keys which don't take a lot of space but still falls victim to high bezel space. It is available in two color combinations which are shiny white with gold and special wine with silver. The wine color similar to purple and many will describe it like so instead of wine. Using the same hard plastic as many other phones the Andi 4P ClassicX feels nice to the touch and is easy to handle.
OS and Tech
iBall clearly recognizing the market appeal and demand of the Android OS went ahead and installed Android KitKat v4.4 on their Andi 4P ClassicX and it gives the same great android experience the OS in question is famous for. The high processing power and 1GB RAM manages to deliver a smooth user experience. Not forgetting the high number of games and apps found on the Google Play Store as well. We see that the phone uses a MediaTek A7 1.3Ghz dualcore processor which manages to give out sufficient processing power for users to utilize.
Camera and Multimedia
In the age of phones commonly using 8MP cameras finding one just released in the market with just 5MP is shocking. The rear camera is capable of taking images of up to 2592 x 1944 pixels and is aided with an LED flash for taking images in low light or dark situations. The secondary camera is just 2MP and without any flash support but adequate for taking selfies and doing video chatting. Multimedia features in the phone are the standard video and music support with either the built in apps or apps downloaded from the Play Store.
Battery and Memory
Now we come to the one of the main drawbacks of this phone which is the low battery capacity. At just 1400mAh there are low expectations of the phone being able to power its way throughout the whole day especially with heavy usage. Using 3G networks instead of 2G will not help its life as well. There is no mention of the talk time not the standby time on iBall's website so how long it lasts is anyone's guess but be sure that it won't be as high as expected. The internal memory is 8GB which is standard in phone under the Rs. 4000 price point and thankfully users can increase memory using a MicroSD card of up to 32GB if they want to.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Dual Sim
· 2G and 3G
· Price
For Cons:
· Low display resolution
· Only 1400mAh battery
· 5MP camera in a 8MP camera world
Verdict
Facts are that iBall has managed to deliver a phone that is not perfect but as close as possible when you consider the price its selling at. Compare it to rivals like the Karbonn Sparkle V Android One and the Micromax Bolt Q324 and you will see that they have similar features but fall behind when RAM and available memory are concerned although both rivals have higher battery capacity which is the only area this phone takes a beating. If you want a phone that comes with everything a Smartphone has but is cheap and your usage is not so high that the battery will drain like a leaky cup then this is the phone for you otherwise you are better off raising your budget and getting another phone.
