Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+ Mobile Price in India
Videocon has been one of the major players in the local mobile market ever since it entered the game in 2009. Since then they have launched a number of mobiles of the basic features and fm radio type to the high-end Smartphone type. Their new Infinium Z51 Nova+ handset is of the high end type and is priced very reasonable. It looks to give rivals a run for their money. Below we will go through all the different features of the phone before coming to a verdict whether it is a good buy or not.
Features and Specifications
The Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+ handset sports a 5 inch display capable of a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Inside it is powered by a 1.2GHz Quadcore chip which is supported by a 1GB RAM chip. The phone also comes with dual sim features and can be used for both 2G and 3G networks. It has built-in internal memory of 8GB but available memory can be increased via the MicroSD card option. The primary camera is 8MP with LED flash while the front camera is 5MP. The features of this phone are the same as those found in similar priced phones so you do not need to worry there.
Design and Quality
The phone comes in two colors namely Grey and Blue. The bezels are not fairly large but that is because Videocon went with capacitive touch buttons below the screen rather than on-screen ones. The phone feels sturdy which is probably because of the hard plastic material used to make its body. The top of the phone is home to the front camera and proximity sensor while at the back we see the Videocon logo in vertical just below the 8MP camera. The phone is nice and slim managing to look sleek as well.
OS and Tech
Android being the most popular OS in the world is chosen to grace this phone with v4.4 KitKat. Granted it is not the latest version of android but it is certainly the best and stable version there is. Android KitKat excels with its great multitasking support and not to mention the amazing library of apps and games available for download. The 1.2Ghz Quadcore processor helps with the multitasking functions of the phone by splitting the processing power to ensure faster results while the 1GB RAM makes sure there is ample memory for multiple running apps.
Camera and Multimedia
Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+ has 8MP primary camera capable of taking images at a max resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. There is also HD video recording features supported by the camera and it also comes with LED flash for low light photography. The front camera of 5MP has no flash support but can be used to take high quality selfies and also for video calling. The inclusion of format support for videos and music ensures that users can enjoy their chosen multimedia with ease using either the bundled in headphones or loudspeaker located on the phone.
Battery and Memory
With a battery life of 2000mAh the Video Infinium Z51 Nova+ has enough to juice to last a fair amount of time. Unfortunately no details of talk time or standby time are available even on the manufacturer's website so we cannot comment on the performance. Suffice to say since the screen is not HD despite being 5 inches we can expect a day's usage at least from the 2000mAh battery. The internal memory is 8GB and in the era of 16GB to 32GB phones it does seem too less but at least the option of increasing memory via MicroSD card remains available.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Dual Sim
· 3G support
· Price
· Android OS
For Cons:
· Not HD
· Internal memory could be higher
· No NFC support
Verdict
At this price the Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+ is really a great phone considering rivals Intex Aqua i3 and Zen Ultrafone 402 Style Pro came at the same price but have lower specs comparatively. Granted the display is not HD but despite that drawback the phone manages to capture the essence of what a Smartphone is supposed to be and that too at a reasonable price. Overall this phone is a solid contender for the low budget Smartphone range and prospective buyers need to seriously consider it. If you need a phone that has a better screen and memory then you should consider buying something else but if this meets your target then it's the best for you.
