LG G4 Stylus Mobile Price in India
LG recently built on the success of the LG G3 by launching its successor the LG G4 which is an expensive high end Smartphone. For users who wanted a similar experience as the LG G4 but aren't willing to spend as much they came out with the LG G4 Stylus. As the name implies the phone comes with a stylus to be used on the big 5.7inch display. The phone has a lot of great features that will appeal too many especially phablet and tablet users considering they all use a stylus. The phone was recently released on May 2015 so it’s considerably new and reviews are still being posted. Down below we will discuss all that this phone has to offer and reach our verdict as well.
Features and Specifications
The screen is big. Big enough that the phone can be classified easily as a phablet rather than a phone. It has a 5.7 inch screen using IPS LCD technology capable of 16M colors, 1280 x 720 resolution, multitouch, 258 PPI and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. With regard to how it’s powered it has a Cortex A53 1.2GHz Quadcore processor with 1GB RAM and a separate graphics chip for gaming which is the Adreno 302. The camera is not the same as the LG G4 understandably since the price isn't the same as well; an 8MP camera with LED flash is what this phone uses as the primary camera while the secondary or front camera is 5MP.
Design and Quality
The LG G4 Stylus comes in just two colors which are Metallic Silver and Floral Whit. Bothe colors look good on the phone and are shaded in such a way that both genders can pull off the look easily. The most eye catching feature of this phone is the slim design as it is just 9.6mm in width despite having a huge display. The camera at the back is designed in a very unique way as it lies just above the volume rocker and menu button. The bezels on this phone are very less thanks in part to the phone having no capacitive or physical keys near the screen. The phone can be awoken using the menu button at the back or double tapping in the middle of the display which is a very nifty feature. The stylus pen has a slot at the top right of the phone where it is stored when not in use.
OS and Tech
LG has not forgotten about its consumers even if they aren't buying the flagship LG G4 model. The LG G4 Stylus also comes installed with the latest Android OS V5.0 Lollipop bringing with it a host of improvements over performance and visual upgrades as well. Tech wise this phone has a great way to wake up the screen where you can either double tap on the screen anywhere or use the button at the back which is positioned such that your fingers naturally rest near or on it. It has all the bells and whistles that good smart phones are packed with these days which are great news.
Camera and Multimedia
An 8MP camera is found at the rear with LED flash in support. It manages to take photos of up to 3264 x 2448 pixels using laser autofocus tech. Both the images and video are captured in full 1080p HD at 30fps and includes features like geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, panorama and HDR. The front camera is 5MP and takes selfies and videos in satisfactory quality. There is no confirmation of whether this phone has a radio built in or not but since every phone these days seems to carry one it would be accurate to assume this one does too. Seeing as the phone uses Android OS you can download great video and music playing apps from the Play Store and play your chosen multimedia in whatever format you wish.
Battery and Memory
LG took a good step here when they installed a bigger batter with a capacity of 3000mAh since the larger display and 4G data usage will make anything less than 3000mAh drain very quickly. As it is the phone promises 432hrs of standby time and 18hrs of talk time which is less when compared to similar phones and can be credited to the big HD display. Memory wise this variant has only 8GB (MicroSD up to 128GB support included) to offer which is poor showing from LG and combining that with 1GB of RAM does not make it very impressive when you factor in all the other features of the phone but with a lower price tag it seems we can't get everything.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Dual Sim
· Big HD Display
· Great phone waking features
· Great design with slim bezels
· Lollipop
· Stylus features
For Cons:
· 8GB memory is too low
· 1GB of RAM in a phablet will not perform as well
· Battery performance is ok not great
Verdict
This is a good phone even though it stumbles in a few places. That is understandable since the phone costs much less than the flagship LG G4. Users looking to own and use a phone just like the LG G4 will be thrilled with the design and features of the Stylus variant and it mirrors them effectively. Rivals such as Samsung Galaxy A7 and HTC Desire 826 do surpass the phone is every aspect except two which are battery capacity and screen size. The selling point of this phone is that it is the experience of a LG G4 with a stylus and a few downgrades and users who are looking for that will be the bulk of the buyers.
