Salora Njoy X E8 Mobile Price in India
Salora is not a new name in the local electronics industry. It has in fact a respectable amount of years under its belt competing locally. From TVs to smartphones to tablets to Multimedia Speaker systems the company knows its business. It is understandable then that such a company will be aware of what the public wants and strive to deliver that in the best way possible. Enter their latest Smartphone which is the Njoy X E8 boasting a very impressive battery capacity of 4000mAh, Android OS, Quad core processor, 8MP camera and a 5inch capacitive touch screen.
Features and Specifications
The 5 inch display is only impressive in terms of the size. The resolution is no where High Definition at just only 480 x 854 pixels using IPS FWVGA. The camera is 8MP at the rear with LED flash support and 3.2MP at the front without any flash support. It has an internal memory of 8GB and there is support for MicroSD card of up to 32GB. The Processor is 1.3GHz Quad core with 1GB of RAM while there doesn’t seem to be any separate GPU chip. The phone also comes with dual sim features that can utilize both 2G and 3G networks.
Design and Quality
The phone isn’t one of the slimmest we have seen since there are plenty of phones with a 5.5 display. Nevertheless it is still 9.9mm slim with a weight of 165g meaning it is moderately slim with a bit of weight to it giving the phone a satisfying weight. Some of the weight can be attributed to the metal frame in the middle of the phone which increases the durability factor of the phone. All in all the black colored bar shaped Smartphone is designed very nicely and should pass the looks test just fine.
OS and Tech
With regards to the operating system the phone uses Android OS v4.4 KitKat. Android OS is well known for its great multitasking features and huge library of apps and games available on the Google Play Store. There might be some lag due to just 1GB of RAM available but as long as the background apps are kept to a normal number it shouldn’t be a problem. There are just three sensors found on the phone which are the light sensor, the proximity sensor and the accelerometer. There is also a very nice feature on the phone by the name of HotKnot which uses NFC or Near Field Communication tech to transfer data between two phones just by tapping their screens together.
Camera and Multimedia
Salora Njoy X E8 features an 8MP primary camera with flash support and a secondary 3.2MP camera. The primary camera found on the rear is capable of taking Full HD videos at 1080p resolution but be warned that such high quality videos will take up a lot of space. Same can be said for the HD pictures the rear camera captures. The front camera at 3.2MP is nothing special so do not expect mind blowing selfies and video recording but for voice calling or snap chatting it does the job fairly well enough.
Battery and Memory
We now come to the major selling point of this phone which is the battery. At 4000mAh the battery capacity and life is no joke. Unfortunately Salora has not released any details on the talk time and standby time the 4000mAh battery is capable of producing. Going by figures from other 4000mAh battery phones we can at least say the battery life should be around 2 days at a normal amount of usage including some gaming, internet, calls and messages. The phone does feature Quick Charge meaning the charger will be capable of outputting more power to charge the phone quicker. The phone has 8GB of internal memory but can be increased with a MicroSD card.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· 4000mAh battery
· HotKnot feature (NFC)
· Dual Sim
· Gesture control
· Quick Charge
· Price
For Cons:
· 8GB internal memory is too low
· 1GB RAM is old news today
· No HD display
Verdict
The major selling points of this phone, what are they? Simply put they are the huge battery and low price of the phone. In a Country where the power outages are an everyday affair; phones with long lasting batteries that can charge faster than normal phones will be very useful. This is the reason why rivals like the Micromax Canvas Play and Lenovo A536 as even they are somewhat similarly matched in some aspects the difference in battery life and price factor will blow them away when the customer has to choose.
