Lava Flair Z1 Mobile Price in India
Out of the many phones released by mobile company Lava there are few which utilize the latest Android update. It isn't without just cause though as newer versions of firmware often need more powerful specs to run smoothly. Take the example of Windows on the PC where you need a low spec PC to run Windows XP but a much better one to run Windows 10. The Lava Flair Z1 already wins a point for having the latest Android Lollipop OS but let's look at the rest of the features below and reach a verdict.
Features and Specifications
The Lava Flair Z1 has a 5 inch screen using TFT tech capable of a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and 16M colors. It really is regrettable that Lava did not go with a HD display seeing as how the phone has a big 5 inch display. It has two cameras; the primary one being limited to just 5MP but with LED flash and the secondary at 2MP. Following the trend Lava has also limited the internal memory of this phone to just 8GB and the RAM a 1GB. The phone has a 1.3GHz Quadcore processor and uses Android OS v5.0 Lollipop with the standard Android UI.
Design and Quality
It seems Intex relies on subtly changing its smartphones but keeping the main design practically the same. The Intex Cloud N12 has followed the same design as many of its predecessors in the Intex line up with utilizing a standard bar shape while the edges are rounded. It is available in only two colors which are White Champagne and Black Gunmetal. The dimensions of the mobile are 136x68x8.95mm making it acceptably slim. Thankfully the rear camera is not protruding and is found at the rear top left with the LED flash right below it.
OS and Tech
The main draw of this phone is the fact that it offers the latest Android firmware which is v5.0 Lollipop. The newest version brings with it many awaited changes that improve the performance of the OS. One of the issues the OS might face however is related to memory as the device has only 1GB of RAM. Still the OS offers access to an amazing library of apps and games via its online store called the Google Play Store. The phone has WiFi, MicroUSB, Bluetooth and an FM radio included as well.
Camera and Multimedia
The rear camera is only 5 MP but it does have LED flash support. The camera can take images of up to 2592 x 1944 pixels and has HD video recording enabled. Suffice to say the HD video recording won’t be full HD as that quality needs a minimum of 8MP to record. The camera app has imaging features such as Snapi, Grid, Photo Timer and HDR. The formats supported by this phone’s native video player is not up to the mark but rest assured you can download a more powerful video player from the online store to remedy the issue and enjoy your chosen format of media.
Battery and Memory
The Lava Flair Z1 comes with a 2000mAh Li-Polymer battery that is expected to give a talk time of 15hrs and 30min of 2G networks while on 3G networks the talk time is 9hrs and 40mins. There are no figures released for stand by time so we cannot comment on that. Internal memory of the phone is limited to just 8GB but the option to expand available memory is there via a MicroSD card. As we discussed above briefly the chief concern of the Lollipop Android’s performance is the low amount of RAM. 2GB would have been a better fit instead of just 1GB.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Good battery capacity
· Android Lollipop
For Cons:
· Low spec cameras
· Low RAM
· Non-HD display
Verdict
The rivals for this phone are the iBall Slide 3G Q45 and Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+. It is a competition between local mobile companies and due to the specs the Lava Flair Z1 manages to come out just on top. It is the only one with Android Lollipop and the price is lower than the rival phones. Granted the phone is not much of a looker but it does the job. Our only concern is the low resolution camera and anyone sharing the same concerns should stay clear of this phone.
