Intex Cloud N12 Mobile Price in India
India has given Intex a lot of business and for a good reason. The phone manufacturer has released phones that were well received by the public. Their new phone the Intex Cloud N12 is a new entry in their Cloud series. The phone is priced under the Rs. 6000 limit which makes it a budget Smartphone. There is a lot of competition in that area and Intex will be taking a big risk unless it outfitted the phone with features and specs that give it a leg up over its rivals. Let's take a look at the phone below.
Features and Specifications
The Intex Cloud N12 has a 4.5 inch display which uses IPS tech and has a qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels while also being capable of 16.7M colors. The handset has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a front camera of 5MP. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Quadcore processor along with 2GB of RAM but no dedicated GPU. The internal memory of the handset is limited to 16GB but you can use a MicroSD card to increase available memory by a maximum of 32GB. The Operating System is Android v4.4 KitKat but there is no mention of whether it can be updated to Lollipop.
Design and Quality
It seems Intex relies on subtly changing its smartphones but keeping the main design practically the same. The Intex Cloud N12 has followed the same design as many of its predecessors in the Intex line up with utilizing a standard bar shape while the edges are rounded. It is available in only two colors which are White Champagne and Black Gunmetal. The dimensions of the mobile are 136x68x8.95mm making it acceptably slim. Thankfully the rear camera is not protruding and is found at the rear top left with the LED flash right below it.
OS and Tech
Intex Cloud N12 uses the Android Operating System v4.4 KitKat. This particular version was very popular because of the great stability and features it had. Since the handset sports 2GB of RAM and a Quadcore processor the OS will be able to run very smoothly even when multitasking while keeping memory related errors or crashes to a minimum. Android also has thousands of apps and games available for it on the Google Play Store which you can access via your Gmail account. The handset has three sensors which are the Gravity sensor, the Proximity sensor and the Light sensor.
Camera and Multimedia
The phone has two cameras like almost all phones these days, the primary or rear camera is 8MP with LED flash support and the front or secondary camera is 5MP. The built-in camera app has nice features included such as Panorama shot, Live Photo Mode, Gesture Capture and assigning the image capture to the volume rocker instead of using the on-screen button. Android is extremely multimedia friendly out of all the Operating Systems in the market so you will have no issues enjoying your favorite media file on the phone.
Battery and Memory
One of the most glaring setbacks this phone faces is its less than stellar battery. At just 1700mAh the battery has a poor talk time of only 4-5 hours and a similarly bad standby time of only 180 hours. Consumers will be leery of buying a mobile that can only keep them connected for a few hours. A higher capacity battery would have been better as the standard talk time is usually somewhere around 8-9 hours. The memory available on this phone is 16GB but the is a MicroSD card option available in case more space is needed.
Pros and Cons
For Pros:
· Dual Sim
· 2GB RAM
For Cons:
· Very poor battery performance
· Non-HD display
Verdict
In the Intex Cloud N12's price range there are many phones that fall short of the bar set by this phone. That being said there are many that exceed the bar and give this handset serious trouble. With the duration between new phones being released getting shorter and shorter; newer phones have to bring something new to the table if they want to compete efficiently. Rivals like the Micromax Canvas Play and the Zen Sonic 1 will win out over this phone easily with specs and especially battery life.
