Celkon Q5K Transformer Mobile Price in India
Celkon, alleged to be India’s sixth-biggest smartphone company was founded in the year 2009 and is headquartered in Hyderabad. The entity which manufactures tabs, wireless gadgets, and mobile phones got the products put together in China and Taiwan but gradually the firm went to establish its own production unit in the country. Celkon since its inception has launched an extensive array of tablet PCs and mobile handsets including the Diamond 4G Tab 7, Diamond 4G Tab 8, Diamond 4G Plus, CT 722, Q567, Millennia Everest, Campus Prime, and Rockstar to name a few.
In November of 2015, Celkon released a low-budget smartphone-the Q5K Transformer-equipped with a series of useful features. However, the handset’s most versatile functionality is its powerful battery that keeps the gadget performing smoothly for hours at a stretch.
Specs
Carrying a price tag of Rs. 5,000-5,500, the Q5K Transformer from Celkon sports a 5-inch UI that takes advantage of the FWVGA IPS LCD display technology to reproduce eye-catching images and graphics. However, the low display resolution and pixel density (480 x 854 pixels and 196 ppi respectively) means you won’t be able to see pictures or representations with the same clarity outdoors as you’d indoors. Nevertheless, handling the product or travelling with it is a sheer pleasure as its dimensions (13.7mm x 12mm x 8mm) and weight (70g) doesn’t make it hefty.
Supported by the Android v5.1 Lollipop OS and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, the handset performs according to your expectations. However, 1GB of RAM is somewhat of a letdown and does not allow you to play games with speed or enjoy movies in high definition. On the other hand, 8GB of internal memory expansible up to a maximum of 32GB with microSD or micro-SDHC card might be just sufficient to archive all your important dossiers and documents.
The phone supports a range of standardized connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, USB2.0, and A-GPS. The device has a preinstalled Android browser enabling you to surf on the net without any lags or hindrance. The Transformer Q5K scores quite high on the entertainment front as it support numerous audio/video playback formats.
The primary camera of 8 megapixels endowed with versatile hardware and software features including autofocus, high dynamic range mode, geo-tagging, self-timer, voice activation, and face detection is good for capturing reminiscent snaps. The 3.2 megapixel front camera comes in handy for clicking selfies. The 5000mAh Lithium-Ion battery is easily the most resourceful feature of this handset.
Verdict
Targeted at the low-income group within the budget of Rs. 5,500, the Transformer Q5 casts an impression largely on account of its robust battery and will be favored by those hooked on gaming or movie buffs. Some phones which can be a competition include Xiaomi Redmi 2, Asus ZenFone Go 4.5, and InFocus M260.
