What to expect from a Domo mobile?
1. Display Size: Currently Domo mobiles are mostly available in 4 inch and 5 inch screen size. This caters well to anyone who wants a small handy device (4 inch) as well as anyone who wants a slightly bigger display (5 inch) for multimedia and entertainment. The touch screens are of capacitive type with multi touch displays varying from 2 point to 5 point touch.
2. Processor:It seems like Domo mobiles are experimenting with their processors. Some handsets have a Mediatek processor while some have a Spreadtrum processor. The processors run at speeds from 1000 MHz to 1.3 GHz which is quite decent. The phones have Graphics processing units (Mali 300 or Mali 400) which get better with the price of the handset.
3. RAM: The RAM size varies linearly with the price. The most basic and least priced handset has an extremely small RAM of 256 MB and the most pricey model has a 1 GB RAM. Seems like Domo truly believes in “you get what you pay for”.
4. Bluetooth: Most Domo mobiles come with Bluetooth facility. It is quite surprising to see that the Domo nTice G12 does not come with Bluetooth in spite of being in the mid-price range and having a 5 inch screen!
5. Battery: It is extremely important to have a good battery life for a 4 to 5 inch smart phone. Some models by Domo mobiles have a good battery capacity (2500 mAH) while some come with a surprisingly low battery capacity of 1200mAH. The stand by times varies between a disappointing 6 hours’ time and a good 182 hours.
6. Camera: The most basic version of Domo mobiles has a 2 MP (Domo nTice A10) camera whereas the most expensive model has a 13 MP (Domo nTice Quad 1) auto focus camera with an LED flash. The secondary camera also varies between 0.3 MP and 2 MP.
7. Operating System: The Operating systems of Domo mobiles depends largely on when the phones were released. The old ones are as old as Gingerbread which is extremely outdated and the newest ones have Jellybean which too is quite outdated.
8. Memory: The internal memory provided by Domo mobiles varies from 512 MB to 4 GB. The phones come with an expandable memory of 32GB minimum which is good.
9. GPS: It is quite important nowadays to own a mobile with GPS. Individuals who travel a lot understand what life savers phones with GPS can be. The low priced models of Domo mobiles do not come with GPS. The higher priced model (Domo nTice Quad 1) has in-built GPS.
10. Java support: All Domo phones come with JAVA support.
Overall Review:
Overall Domo mobiles provides quite a mixed bag of features from extremely outdated ones like a Gingerbread OS to great ones like a 64GB expandable memory for the nTice Quad 1.We would suggest taking a close look at each and every feature before choosing a Domo phone.
